Chapter 51 - Chapter 51 -- Sacrifice to the Dao Lord

When the excitement of the night finally subsided and the first light of dawn broke through the horizon, everyone subconsciously turned their attention to the massive doors of the Sacrificial Shop.

The doors slowly opened.

Li Rong stepped out calmly, followed by four women. His gaze swept across the crowd, taking in the quiet, orderly queue that stretched far into the distance. A faint trace of satisfaction appeared in his eyes.

With a casual wave of his hand, a translucent wall of light descended, instantly enveloping everyone present. In the next instant, vast streams of information surged directly into their minds—clear explanations, rules, and structures related to the Training Ground, all delivered without omission.

"Do you have any further questions?" Li Rong asked evenly.

Most people were still immersed in sorting through the enormous amount of information. Ning Fengzhi, however, who already possessed some prior understanding, could not help but sigh inwardly.

Tsk… another opportunity missed.

If the outside world had not already known that the Shop would release a batch of Grade 3 cultivation techniques and secret manuals as rewards, many of those standing here today would have paid an exorbitant price just to pre-order them.

They lost sacrificial coins—meaning someone else earned them. And that someone, unfortunately, was not him.

"Boss Li," Ning Fengzhi stepped forward, cupped his hands, and asked politely, "may I ask what attributes the Grade 3 cultivation techniques and secret manuals in the Training Ground include? And are they permanent, or will they be updated over time?"

"Gold, wood, water, fire, earth, wind, lightning, light, darkness, spiritual, and non-attributed," Li Rong replied calmly. "Only these eleven attributes, and only one copy of each. They will not be updated. If more are added in the future, they will only be cultivation techniques of new attributes."

"And the secret manuals?" Ning Fengzhi pressed.

"Each attribute has only one offensive secret manual," Li Rong continued. "There are also two movement techniques—one focused on evasion and maneuvering, the other on long-distance travel. No defensive or auxiliary secret manuals have been placed."

After fully digesting the information, the Demon Emperor showed little interest. His clan did not rely on spirit rings, nor was he overly concerned about the plight of Spirit Beasts. Instead, he asked directly, "What about the arena? What are the rewards, and how does participation work?"

Li Rong's lips curved slightly, a hint of mischief surfacing. "I will place a batch of phantoms into the arenas. Anyone who successfully defeats one may obtain a jar. Opening the jar will yield a random item—anywhere from Grade 1 to Grade 6, with an extremely small chance of Grade 7. The higher the grade, the lower the probability."

"The items cannot be transferred," he added casually. "If they are useless to you, the Shop will repurchase them—at a low price."

Unknown phantoms?

This was different from what they had discussed before.

Dugu Bo immediately asked, "There are only ten arenas. Does that mean only ten jars per month?"

"No," Li Rong replied. "The arenas refresh every ten days. In theory, you can obtain up to thirty jars per month."

"Are there challenge restrictions?" Dugu Bo asked again. "If someone fails, can they immediately try again?"

"There is a three-day cooldown," Li Rong said. "And every challenge will be publicly visible to everyone inside the Training Ground."

Not defending arenas, but challenging unknown phantoms—while being observed by all.

Smart individuals like Ning Fengzhi and Di Tian instantly grasped Li Rong's intention. This was a deliberate push toward exchange, observation, and shared learning.

"Then how strong are these arena phantoms?" someone asked.

"They randomly appear between a Level 91 Titled Douluo and a demigod," Li Rong answered. "That refers only to spirit power level, not actual combat strength."

Silence fell.

If a monster like Dugu Bo—already possessing Grade 4 cultivation techniques and near-peak spirit power—appeared as a phantom, who besides a god could defeat him?

"Boss Li," a Spirit Douluo asked eagerly, "what about the Grade 2 cultivation techniques in the Training Ground? Do they follow the same rules as the Grade 3 ones?"

"Grade 2 has more attributes and more types," Li Rong replied. "They refresh once a month, with new cultivation techniques and secret manuals introduced at random."

Joy rippled through the crowd. This alone would drastically reduce the cost of trial and error when nurturing disciples.

"And there are also Grade 1 techniques," Li Rong added pointedly. "Only three in total—but they are completely free and may be passed on."

"If one has sufficient comprehension, even those born without innate spirit power can eventually cultivate spirit power through long-term practice."

The crowd erupted.

That meant anyone could become a Spirit Master.

With the Training Ground also providing spirit rings, an unprecedented surge in Spirit Master numbers was inevitable.

"Any more questions?" Li Rong asked again.

"Will the Training Tower only be built in cities?" Xue Ye asked carefully, suppressing his displeasure.

"More than that." Li Rong glanced at him briefly before addressing the entire crowd. "Any Sect or family may request one. I will build it for free, provided you possess at least one Spirit Douluo."

"And if you have a Titled Douluo," he continued, "you may freely choose up to three locations. Once confirmed, they cannot be changed, nor can locations be repeated."

Xue Ye's heart sank completely.

Cities no longer offered the Empire any advantage.

No one paid him any attention—not even Dai Tianfeng. The Dai family's authority had always rested on strength, not legitimacy.

Dai Tianfeng stepped forward. "Boss Li, does individual matching disadvantage Spirit Masters with Spirit fusion? Can two-on-two battles be enabled?"

"True powerhouses have no weaknesses," Li Rong replied flatly. "If a Spirit Master loses combat capability after separating from their partner, they are nothing more than an accessory."

"Multi-person events may open in the future," he added, "but do not expect changes made for Spirit fusion alone."

Dai Tianfeng was startled, then relieved. Even without Spirit fusion, the White Tiger Spirit remained top-tier.

"Any further questions?"

"What are the exact probabilities for each grade in the jars?"

Li Rong listed them calmly, without embellishment.

When everyone heard that Grade 7 had a one-in-a-million chance, even the Demon Emperor's ambition dimmed.

With only a few jars each month, obtaining even Grade 4 would feel like burning one's lifespan.

Seeing their expressions, Li Rong laughed lightly. "It's free. What are you dissatisfied with? And what if you strike it rich? Whether human or beast—what's the difference between having dreams and being a salted fish?"

The crowd laughed, tension easing.

"And where will the Training Tower be built in the cities?" someone asked.

Li Rong looked at Qian Renxue. "Every city has a Spirit Hall branch, correct?"

"Yes," she replied immediately, her mind racing.

"Then I intend to build the tower within Spirit Hall branches," Li Rong said. "It doesn't take much space, but its influence will cover the entire city."

"It is Spirit Hall's honor," Qian Renxue replied solemnly.

Li Rong nodded.

A boundless radiance burst forth from his brow.

Information—about the Training Tower, its opening in ten days, the three Grade 1 cultivation techniques and their explanations, along with today's announcements—condensed into a massive information stream and spread across the continent.

Spirit Masters on Sea God Island received it. Spirit Beasts in Star Dou and the Far North sensed it.

Golden nine-story towers rose in city squares. Over the ocean, churning waters condensed into vast blue towers.

Li Rong's voice echoed across heaven and earth.

"Today, on behalf of the Sacrificial Dao Lord, I open the path of cultivation for this world.

"Whether noble or beggar, trash spirit or divine spirit—before the Great Dao, all beings are equal.

"Remember this: so-called gods are merely Spirit Masters who walked further ahead.

"As for whether you become gods… or kneel before them—that choice is yours."

Ignoring the stunned crowd, Li Rong turned away. Leaving Snow Princess and Dugu Yan to maintain order, he led Bi Ji and Ye Leng Leng back into the Sacrificial Shop.
