Robert's Point of View
I drained what remained of the whiskey in the glass in one gulp, and felt the liquid burning my throat, but it failed to extinguish the fires that Julie had ignited in my veins.
I remembered the moment I pulled her to rest on my lap; her small body was radiating a heat that burned my skin despite the clothes.
Her scent... that scent that resembles the effect of "marijuana," numbs my logic and completely seizes my senses.
She was in my hands, at my beck and call, but the lump of blame was choking me; I blamed myself a lot because I had kissed her in that violent way before, for it is not of my character to take something by force, especially from her.
But patience was running out; her proximity to me has become a daily test that I cannot endure.
I can no longer bear her presence beside me without touching her, without kissing her, without making her mine with all my being.
