Chapter 64 - The Nine-Tails

Watching the four figures approaching, Uzumaki Mito silently thought to herself, Hashirama, I wonder if your decision was right or wrong.

Uzumaki Mito glanced at Uzumaki Kushina's smiling face, instinctively placing a hand on her belly, a gentle smile touching her lips.

Kushina was the next Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails.

As the Nine-Tails' host, her heart needed to be filled with love.

The Nine-Tails' power was too dark and dangerous. If Kushina, as the Jinchuriki, harbored negative emotions, the Nine-Tails would slowly corrupt her, guiding her with its malicious chakra into a violent rampage.

That would lead to unimaginable disaster.

"The power of the Nine-Tails is still too great," Mito murmured, feeling the sealed Nine-Tails within her womb.

Inside the sealing space, the Nine-Tails was tightly bound, unable to move. It roared in frustration at Mito's words, thrashing violently as it tried to break free and wreak havoc on the outside world.

Sensing the Nine-Tails' agitation, Mito furrowed her brow and the chains binding the beast contracted instantly.

It was locked firmly to the orb at the center of the sealing space, its limbs and tails restrained without any chance of escape.

"Damn you, Senju Hashirama! Damn you, Uzumaki Mito!"

The Nine-Tails howled, struggling against the chains.

"Just wait until I get out, I'll slaughter you all!"

Recalling Mito's words, the Nine-Tails grew even more irritable. It grumbled about being overpowered, unable to roam freely despite its great strength.

Such unfair treatment for a fox!

"Nine-Tails, quiet down!"

Mito's voice echoed inside the sealing space.

With the Uzumaki clan's powerful sealing techniques, vast chakra reserves, and Yin seals capable of storing chakra, Mito had the Nine-Tails thoroughly subdued.

Before her, the Nine-Tails was like a little girl being fussed over, manipulated however she wished.

Feeling the Nine-Tails' restless anger, Mito sighed and turned toward the approaching Kushina and her companions, especially Minato.

I hope you can fill Kushina's heart with love.

"Mito-sama!"

Seeing Uzumaki Mito, Seisui, Haru, and Minato all bowed respectfully.

Seisui glanced at the casually standing Tsunade and greeted warmly, "Big sister Tsunade, long time no see."

Tsunade was momentarily stunned. Are we really that close that you call me sister? But she was secretly pleased.

"Come in and have a seat," Mito said, looking at Haru. She sensed the young Uchiha girl was afraid of her, so she smiled warmly.

"Little one, don't be afraid. The conflicts of the previous generation won't affect the next."

Even if Uchiha Setsuna were here, she wouldn't react much, let alone a young girl.

Haru instinctively glanced at Seisui, then nodded seriously.

"Yes, Mito-sama."

"Hahaha." Mito laughed heartily as she saw Haru relax. "I'm no lady."

"If you want, just call me Grandma, like Kushina does."

"But you seem more like my sister," Seisui shamelessly said from the side.

Minato was used to Seisui's shamelessness by now, and Haru had grown somewhat accustomed too.

Only Tsunade and Nawaki looked like they'd seen a ghost.

"Has he always been this shameless?" Tsunade whispered to Kushina.

Kushina shook her head. She knew Seisui was a little cunning, but didn't expect this level of boldness.

Seeing her shake her head, Tsunade sighed.

"Just like Jiraiya's student, same behavior."

Nawaki glanced at his sister, then at Seisui with newfound respect.

He'd heard about three younger prodigies graduating ahead of him and was a little jealous. But now he was beginning to appreciate this genius who was only a few years younger.

Can't even compete with his thick skin.

Mito chuckled hearing Seisui's words.

As a woman, who wouldn't love to be told she looked young?

"I'm practically half buried in the ground," Mito joked, "so just call me Grandma."

Though she joked, she was secretly even more impressed with Seisui.

Being a genius wasn't just about smarts, it was having the guts.

That alone made his future very promising.

Uzumaki Mito led everyone inside and left.

Tsunade followed, busy studying medical ninjutsu and being forced by Mito to practice Yin sealing. She had no time to play with these kids.

Just thinking about all the sealing theory gave her a headache.

Nawaki, a few years older than the others, clung to Minato, asking about missions after graduation.

Minato glanced at Seisui for help with a look.

Seisui ignored him and instead watched Kushina bring over a thick book, curious.

"So this is the sealing technique you have to study?"

Kushina shook her head, opening the book.

"This is just the table of contents."

Seisui stared at the massive tome, thicker than a dictionary, and looked at her with sympathy.

"You're something else… to get through all these books."

He gave her a thumbs up.

Haru leaned closer, glancing at the book.

"The beginning of sealing techniques is the hardest part, right?"

Kushina nodded, explaining.

"Don't be fooled by the amount of books. It's actually okay."

"As long as you understand the basic runes, you can build up from there step by step."

She counted on her fingers, sounding a bit overwhelmed.

"Grandma Mito says I'm talented and should master most sealing techniques in six or seven years."

"Enough of the sad stuff," Kushina tossed the book aside casually.

"I haven't hit anyone in so long, let me get inside!"

"Inside?" Nawaki approached curiously.

"Where are you all going?"

"Can I come too?"

Kushina didn't answer him directly but looked at Seisui.

Seisui knew exactly what she meant and gave Nawaki a meaningful smile.

"Are you sure?"

"That place might not be too friendly for you."

Minato saw Seisui's smile and knew trouble was coming. He tried to warn Nawaki but was too slow.

Nawaki laughed heartily.

"No problem."
