Chapter 1 - Ch1- Supreme Kai: Re-Written

"Hahahaha..."

As laughter rang out throughout the Supreme Kai's Planet.

A figure, small in stature, yet astute in aura stood in the air gazing upon the ground below and laughed maniacally.

A divine white aura emitted from his being, yet starkly contrasted with his laughter.

Down below, Kibito, the attendant to the Supreme Kai gazed down on the ground and thought, "The terror of the Majin, must have left Lord supreme kai in a trauma."

A moment later, Shin, the Supreme Kai of the 7th universe of the Dragon Ball world, now inhabited by a soul from Earth, became silent and gazed down upon his self-blaming assistant.

Moments ago, he—Robert, a mere earthling—had arrived here after a car accident on Earth. At first, he thought he might have been saved, yet remembering the incident dismissed that hope. For what appeared in front of him was strikingly similar to what was depicted in the Dragon Ball lore about the abode of the Supreme Kai.

And just as this realisation struck him, he rose to the air and laughed heartily.

At this moment, Robert, now Shin, came down to the same level as Kibito and asked him in a gentle yet authoritative voice, "Kibito, has Majin Buu been sealed?"

This was his biggest concern, for if Majin Buu had yet to be sealed then he was at risk of being eaten by that fat little pink ball.

Kibito looked at him strangely, and replied in a manner with respect yet laced with a strange confusion, "Supreme Kai, Majin Buu was sealed just a year ago."

Hearing this, made Shin's heartbeat faster.

He was relieved that Majin Buu had been sealed; it meant the storyline had not yet begun.

Shin then again felt exhilaration at the thought of the time he had.

Observing the constantly changing expression of Shin, Kibito was confused.

He thought, 'Even if he were to truly be traumatised, it shouldn't reach this level, should it?'

Then, Shin snapped back to reality and started calmly observing his surroundings.

The planet was lush green, almost overflowing with vegetation.

The sky was lavender, complementing the vegetation below, upon it countless planet-like moons were embedded as if jewels on a beauty.

"The scene here is really good, isn't it, Kibito?" said Shin in calm authority and awe.

Kibito silently sighed in relief while looking at the Supreme Kai who had returned to normal.

He replied in a measured and respectful tone, "Supreme Kai, the scene here is indeed enjoyable."

At these words, Shin chuckled softly and said, "You have a good taste Kibito to see the beauty here, yet to preserve the dignity and beauty of this place, we as its inhabitants must gain enough strength to protect our homeland."

A moment of silence followed, after which Shin continued, "We, the Supreme Kais for several generations have lived in our arrogance of being the Supreme authority of the universe, yet this Majin Buu incident has shown me our weakness compared to what truly can challenge us."

At this moment, Kibito bowed his head.

He had nothing to say, what the Supreme Kai said was true, they were indeed arrogant.

Shin questioned with energy, "How long shall we continue to blind ourselves!? How long shall we continue to watch our home being desecrated!? How long shall we remain oblivious to our own weakness!"

Kibito lowered his head further, yet a spirit, a fire, was slowly taking shape within him, burning through his beliefs and showing him the reality that he along with countless other who came before, ran away from.

Yet even as his faith faltered, Kibito clung to it desperately even though it was falling, he raised his head and asked in a voice that shook with the tension of someone grappling with life, "But Supreme Kai, isn't our duty to merely oversee?"

Shin looked at him with calmness, he required Kibito for what he was about to do, hence he replied, "Huh! If we were to merely oversee, then who will protect our creation? Do you see a god other than ourselves who is capable of doing such? We, are the only ones who can aid."

The slightly raised head of Kibito lowered again.

At this moment Shin continued, with calmness returning in his tone, "Now is the time..."

He paused and with voice growing louder second by second, he said, "TIME FOR US KAIS TO RISE AND PROTECT WHAT WE CREATE WITH OUR OWN HANDS!!!"

And with that loud declaration he said, "Kibito, rise. Now is not the time to lower our heads, it is time to make our Kais, Supreme again, to restore dignity to our ancestors!"

And with that, Kibito raised his head, his old face glistening with tears of hope for a better future.

Shin looked at him calmly and thought, 'Rise, for you are required in what I am going to proceed with.'

And with a smile gracing his face he ordered, "Take me to the residence of the Northern King Kai."

And with that his journey began, in calm calculations mixed with the energy of a youthful mind that was going to burn within the flames of time.
