Claire Sinclair opened her mouth, about to say she didn't want to be on camera, but that would make her seem like a coward. She changed tack. "Mr. Lancaster, I don't know what to do."
The words had barely left her mouth when Lynn Dawson handed her a pre-written script. "Here's the script."
Claire Sinclair raised an eyebrow as she took the script and skimmed it. It wasn't long, but every word was essential. News reports demand conciseness, and there wasn't a single wasted phrase.
After reading it, Claire Sinclair committed the script to memory and said, "Alright, I'm ready."
Mr. Lancaster then said, "Alright, do a practice run. We're going live with the station in a bit."
"A l-live broadcast?" Claire Sinclair was stunned to hear those two words.
Lynn Dawson laughed, a hint of schadenfreude in her tone. "Don't worry, everyone has a first time. I believe in you. Just don't be nervous, okay?"
