"There's been a change of plans for tomorrow. You won't need to join me in meeting Hermanro. Mrs. Hale has requested a private meeting with you. Host her well, and don't neglect our Aridian customs."
"What?" The news struck Claire Sinclair like a bolt from the blue.
'What have I ever done to deserve this? How could I possibly be qualified to host the president's wife...'
As if he had read her mind, Adrian Quincy said in a deep voice, "It's quite simple. Just be a sincere host, and you won't mess it up. Don't worry."
"That's not it. I just don't think I'm qualified to be on equal footing with the president's wife. Besides, my English is terrible!"
