She shuffled forward, stole a glance at Adam Sinclair beside her, and bit her lip. Steeling herself, she stepped out.
Each step felt as heavy as lead. It took her forever to cover the mere two meters.
It wasn't until Yuri Sinclair suddenly grabbed her, squeezing her hand with all his might until it throbbed with pain, that Ashley Bowen looked up at the man before her, her expression pained.
"That hurts," she whimpered.
"So you *do* feel pain?" Yuri Sinclair's voice was as cold as ever. He pulled Ashley Bowen along, not even sparing a glance for the man still standing dazed in the elevator, and turned his wheelchair to leave.
Aaron followed close behind, placing his hands on the wheelchair to push it. Ashley Bowen was yanked along by Yuri Sinclair, stumbling and nearly tripping every few steps.
Everyone present worried for Ashley Bowen, fearing the worst for her.
