'Mortimer Quincy, could you please act like a decent human being for once?'
Zeke Zane shot him a look from the side. Pantheon had never won a single war of words with Mortimer, yet he stubbornly kept banging his head against a wall.
Seeing Mortimer getting ready to leave, he quickly got to the point. "Mortimer, a few of us are taking you out for dinner tomorrow night to celebrate your birthday."
Only then did Mortimer remember it was his birthday. Thinking about Holly's "sneaky" behavior, he had a good idea of what was going on. "I'm not free tomorrow. I'll treat you guys to dinner on Sunday."
Pantheon cried out, "What? Mortimer, we all agreed! Quincy and the others have already gone to book our seats. If you don't come, you'd be totally bailing on us."
"Besides, we already invited our sister-in-law, and she promised us she'd be back tomorrow. You can't make her come all this way for nothing, can you?"
