Rona Langdon reached out and poked Vera Xavier on the forehead. "Fine. If you actually get accepted, I'll give you a flat ten thousand yuan for school!"
She looked at her with contempt as she continued, "But let's get the unpleasantries out of the way first. If you don't get accepted, I won't support you any longer. You can get your ass to work!"
In her eyes, with Vera Xavier's current grades, there was no way she could get into a university.
Vera Xavier turned to Zachary Preston. "Dad, you have to be my witness for this. I'm afraid Mom will back out of it later!"
Deep down, Zachary Preston was worried about her, but things had already been said. He couldn't refuse, so he agreed, "Alright, I'll be the witness."
Vera Xavier reached for the last meat bun on the plate, but Rona Langdon smacked her hand with her chopsticks. "Feeling gutsy, are we? If you're so capable, then you should be spending your time studying, not eating buns!"
