Elder Coleman simply smiled without answering.
During the hours-long meeting, he had been seated between Kian Sterling and Silas Norwood, two titans of the Capital Circle's financial world. The meeting was tedious and long. During the first half, both men beside him were distracted. He couldn't help but notice on several occasions that Chairman Sterling was casually scrolling through a girl's social media feed, while Silas Norwood was engrossed in his photo album. The screens of both their phones showed photos of the same dazzling, proud-looking girl.
In the second half, they were still occasionally distracted, but their focus had switched—Chairman Sterling was now scrolling through his photo album, and Chairman Norwood was scrolling through the social media feed. The object of their attention remained unchanged: that same girl.
