Yuan Lang stiffened. He gave the female an inscrutable look. "This is a Beastman's nature."
Wu Yue raised a skeptical eyebrow. "A talent for sneaking around?"
The corner of Yuan Lang's eye twitched in the darkness. His handsome, sharply-defined face lunged closer. "Say one more thing I don't like, and I'll introduce you to the concept of 'rape, then kill'."

Wu Yue was utterly dumbfounded. 'What kind of bastard did I team up with? Can I kill my own teammate?'
"Host, you need to calm down. With your meager Combat Power, you'd obviously be the one getting KO'd."
The System chimed in at just the right moment, quashing Wu Yue's impractical idea.
"System, whose side are you even on?" Wu Yue asked, narrowing her eyes.
The System: "..."
After a long, sputtering pause, it finally said, "To be honest, Host, if we weren't already bound together—meaning if you kick the bucket, I'm done for too—I'd totally be cheering you on."
