Morgan Joyce refused as if it were the most natural thing in the world, his tone so firm it gave Zachary Redgrave no room to argue.
"Where would a busy CEO like you find the time to take care of her? I'm pretty free lately, and I can even score some free meals while I'm at it."
Zachary Redgrave could always go back to Zoe Yates's place, but his three meals a day wouldn't be guaranteed. Now that Hannah Hale was a patient, her food was bound to be much better than takeout.
"Forget it. I don't trust you with her. You're doing well if you can just take care of yourself."
"Fine. Since you're so eager to wait on someone, I won't fight you for it."
Morgan Joyce looked up at the IV bag. "It's almost empty. I'll go get a nurse to come take the needle out."
"No, it's okay. I can do it myself."
Hannah Hale lifted her right hand and gently peeled at the white tape on the back of her left. "Just press down here for me while I pull the needle out."
"Okay."
