Just as Aiden Shaw was leaving the pharmacy, he saw Laura Lowell get out of a car and start running after a group of people up ahead.
"What's wrong? What happened?"
Worried, Aiden Shaw helped her up and gently patted her on the back.
Laura Lowell coughed a few times, her breath coming in short gasps. After running so hard, her head was throbbing even more.
"I'm fine."
"Do you know those people?"
"No, I just thought the girl looked like a childhood friend of mine."
Laura Lowell glanced in the direction they had disappeared, an indescribable sadness in her eyes.
She turned around, but after just one step, she nearly fell. Fortunately, Aiden Shaw was there to catch her.
"You shouldn't have been running so fast when you're sick. You're all out of energy now, aren't you?"
Aiden Shaw walked in front of Laura Lowell and crouched down. "Get on. I'll carry you."
"Um... no, that's okay. I can walk on my own."
"Hurry up."
