Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Let's Go Out.

Aiden Shaw asked because in this luxury apartment building, each floor had only two residences.

'So, she must live in the unit across from mine.'

"Ugh..."

Laura Lowell let out a small, drunken burp, her delicate hands reaching out to wrap tightly around Aiden Shaw's trim waist.

Aiden Shaw's dark brows knitted together as he watched the girl in front of him fearlessly draw closer.

"Miss, you're drunk. Let go of me."

"No, I won't... Hey handsome, let's go out."

At that moment, Laura Lowell was like a little kid, indulging in a spoiled, playful tantrum.

Aiden Shaw lifted his right hand, his long, slender fingers pinching the bridge of his nose. A hint of impatience surfaced on his cool features.

Inside the apartment, one of the movers who had just finished arranging the furniture spotted the scene in the hallway through the open door.

He recognized Laura Lowell in the next instant.

She was a huge celebrity, after all. The scene was absolutely explosive.

He immediately pulled out his phone and, with a CLICK, secretly snapped a picture.

"Mr. Shaw, we've finished up here. If everything looks okay, could you please sign the work order?"

The mover held out a green form, handing it to Aiden Shaw.

Aiden Shaw tried to push the girl's arms away, but she was surprisingly strong.

He could only take the pen and sign his name on the form first.

"Thanks, Mr. Shaw. We'll be on our way, then. Don't forget to give us a five-star rating!" the mover said with a smile.

Aiden Shaw gave a slight nod, not saying a word.

"Hey, let go of me."

Once the movers were in the elevator, Aiden Shaw's gaze, now laced with an icy chill, fell upon the girl clinging to him like a koala. His cool voice escaped his lips.

"You're so handsome... I'm not letting go."

Aiden Shaw stared into Laura Lowell's hazy eyes. After a moment, a calm, steady voice emerged from deep in his throat. "Come in."

Laura Lowell kept her arms wrapped around Aiden Shaw's waist, refusing to let go and clinging to him stubbornly.

Once inside, Aiden Shaw settled Laura Lowell onto the living room sofa and was about to get up to pour her some water from the kitchen.

But as he rose, so did the girl still clinging to him.

"Sit down. Aren't you thirsty? I'm going to get you some water."

Laura Lowell blinked her crystal-clear eyes, her long, thick lashes casting shadows against her pale, smooth skin.

Aiden Shaw placed his hands on the girl's shoulders and pressed her back down onto the sofa. "Wait here. Don't move."
