Cecilia Adler said, her face expressionless, "So I don't know what's good for me? You do. You know so much you'd steal your own niece's only home. You know so much you'd let Theresa Sheridan try to marry me off to old, poor bachelors. You know so much you'd constantly demand money from your sister's child. You're so enlightened. Sometimes I wonder... Grandma and Grandpa were such good people. How could they have produced someone like you? Were you adopted?"
"You wretched girl! How dare you speak to an elder like that? Aren't you afraid of being struck by lightning?" Sean Adler was so furious his eyes looked ready to split.
"If lightning strikes anyone, it should strike you first! Get out now, or I'll make you." Cecilia Adler clenched her fists.
Sean Adler knew how tough she could be and left in a huff.
Cecilia Adler scoffed coldly.
Her grandmother walked over. "Cecilia, when are you heading back to Valoria?"
