"I know, we agreed to meet here. When I saw you just now, I thought he'd sent you over to greet us," said Uncle Rowan.
He was even planning to take this opportunity to introduce her to his son.

"No, Uncle Rowan. I just remembered I have something to do, so I have to go. Let's talk again when we're free."

Cecilia Adler stood up to leave. "Goodbye, Brother Rowan."
Gene Rhodes stood up immediately. "Should I walk you out?"
"No need." Before leaving, Cecilia Adler picked up two pieces of pastry from the plate she had originally ordered for herself. On her way out, she stopped by the service counter to pay.
Uncle Rowan quickly stopped her. "There's no need for that, my dear niece."
Cecilia Adler replied, "I'll get it reimbursed later. I can claim a bit more this way."
Uncle Rowan laughed. "Alright then. I won't stand on ceremony with your father."
Cecilia Adler smiled back. "I'm off, then."
