In the Cultivation Realm, once low-level Cultivators reach the Qi Cultivation 9th Layer, they must start considering their preparations for Foundation Establishment.
Those Cultivators with no backing and scarce resources often start preparing for this rainy day as early as the Qi Cultivation 7th to 8th Layers.
They would scrimp and save, scrape things together, and even resort to swindling and deceit just to gather the resources needed for Foundation Establishment.
However, most low-level Cultivators don't even have that opportunity. Due to poor innate talent, severe injuries in their youth, or advanced age, they wouldn't succeed even if they had a Foundation Establishment Pill.
Years ago, a High Rank Cultivator compiled statistics on this matter. Out of one hundred Late stage Qi Cultivation Loose Cultivators, no more than three would successfully achieve Foundation Establishment.
