A Necromancer's specialty was overwhelming the battlefield using Sea of People Tactics.
And as an Evil God Lord under the Greedy Evil God, the Greedy Player's own power was entirely dependent on how much wealth, troops, heroes, equipment, resources, cities, territory, and so on he possessed.
The more of these external possessions he had, the more powerful he became, and the higher the bonus Attributes for his Evil God Army.
Therefore, Arthas, as a Legendary Level Necromancer, could summon tens of thousands of Undead Soldiers.
He was a perfect candidate to come work for him.
The two would complement each other perfectly.
