The Contracted Beasts began to gather, surrounding Chu Sheng and standing on high alert.
Just then, a student who had just returned from an outing arrived at the Simulation Ecological Zone, planning to visit his Contracted Beast.
He went to the Shadow Leopard's habitat, only to find it empty. Following the connection of their Blood Covenant, he searched ahead and soon spotted his beast.
He hadn't seen his Contracted Beast in a long time and missed it dearly, so he called out excitedly:
"Shadow Leopard, come on over! Your master is back!"
Normally, the Shadow Leopard would have bounded over enthusiastically to nuzzle against his legs... Yet now, it merely glanced at him before turning its head away.
'Unimportant.'

The student was completely floored.
'No way, has it forgotten its own master?'
He called out twice more, his tone eventually becoming a command, but the Shadow Leopard remained unmoved.
