Seeing that Aurora seemed to have frozen, Benjamin Morgan explained nervously, "Miss Guthrie is a goddaughter our madam acknowledged a while ago. So, she's technically the master's sister."
Joyce Guthrie glanced at him, her smile sweet. She walked up, grabbed Aurora Sinclair's arm, and said in a playfully demanding tone, "Mr. C, why are you so nervous? Could it be that Aurora is Morgan's girlfriend?"
Benjamin Morgan looked at Aurora Sinclair awkwardly, coughed twice, and opened the lid of the food container on the table for her.
"That smells amazing! I didn't eat lunch. Can I have a little?" Joyce Guthrie said with a smile, looking at Aurora Sinclair.
Aurora Sinclair nodded and pushed a food container toward her.
Benjamin Morgan opened his mouth to speak, then stopped himself, his heart leaping into his throat.
'This young lady is very calculating. Aurora is probably going to get taken advantage of this time.'
