Leigh Miles looked flustered. She averted her gaze and said, "It's nothing, really. I just got exhausted from the fight."
"He couldn't have beaten your senior sister." Alvin Morgan's gaze was sharp, making Leigh Miles tremble inwardly.
Alvin Morgan continued, "She told me she lost control, just like that madman..."
"She..." Leigh Miles opened her mouth but trailed off, as if she couldn't find a way to explain.
Her fingers nervously picked at the hem of her clothes. She looked away, not daring to meet his eyes.
"After she knocked that person out, why was she constantly muttering a scripture?" Alvin Morgan's voice had grown cold.
Just as Leigh Miles was struggling for a reply, the kitchen door was suddenly pushed open.
