"Attention all departments, attention all departments. A public relations crisis of the highest magnitude has occurred. I repeat, a public relations crisis of the highest magnitude has occurred. All department personnel are to return to their posts immediately!"
The warning blared three times in a row, throwing the entire building into chaos.
Moments later, the Director-General of the Public Opinion Research Department rushed into the main control room, demanding in a stern voice:
"What happened? Who sounded the alarm?"
"I did!"
The staff member looked tense. He performed a series of operations on the main console, pulling up data and intelligence to display on the large screen.
"Just now, a firestorm of public opinion erupted online. Of the 370 billion net-citizens online globally, 1.7 percent have already joined the discussion!"
The Director-General's expression changed drastically. 1.7%... It sounded small, but proportionally, that was already over 6.2 billion people!
