Above the Years.
Three Daoists stood side by side: one, an old Daoist, immaculate and pure; one, a blind, middle-aged Daoist; and one, a lame, young Daoist.
They were playing a game.
All living beings were the pieces, the Years were the squares, and Heaven and Earth was the board.
"Are you two hiding something from me?" 'Something feels wrong,' Supreme thought.
Primordial and Spirit Treasure exchanged a look before vigorously shaking their heads and waving their hands in denial.
"The Three Pristine Ones are one body. What would we have to hide from ourselves?"
"Is that so?" Supreme was skeptical.
"Of course!" Primordial said, his expression serene.
"What else could it be!" Spirit Treasure insisted fervently.
Supreme was conflicted for a moment, but ultimately chose to believe them and placed his next piece.
As he did, he spoke calmly to the majestic figures in the void:
