Tao Liu spun around and lashed out with a kick. With a whistle, his foot connected with Liu Baozi's neck, snapping it with a sickening CRACK.

Inside the pavilion, one of three Lizard Race Demon Fiends—the one with three yellow stripes on its chest—spoke in a hoarse, accented version of the official human tongue. "What a waste to kill him like that," it rasped mockingly. "Human flesh is most fragrant when freshly killed. The texture is sublime."
As it spoke, there was a CRUNCHING sound. It stuffed the half-thigh it was holding in its sharp claws into its mouth and swallowed it whole, bones and all.
