In truth, Zou Feng didn't really want to pay attention to the Queen Mother right now. But he knew that if he didn't respond, this almost harassing summons would likely continue endlessly, becoming an unbearable annoyance. Left with no choice, Zou Feng sank his Heart Spirit into his sea of consciousness and responded to the call of the Queen Mother of the Western Heaven.
"Have you met Houtu?"
As soon as he "connected," the Queen Mother's questioning voice rang out. These words made Zou Feng pause. Strictly speaking, he hadn't actually met Lady Houtu face-to-face; he had simply been unilaterally targeted by her. But for the Queen Mother to ask this, she had obviously noticed something. Most likely, she could tell that he had already been "marked" by Lady Houtu.
"Uh, not exactly... Just as she was about to emerge, she was suppressed again by my Immortal Sect's Right Protector and the Celestial Dao Cauldron...
"I have no idea what this Lady Houtu even looks like," Zou Feng replied.
