Today is the third trial and tonight my father will carry out his plans to assassinate Ashmaris.
My heart drops each time I think about it.
My mind tells me to do as my father instructs but my heart….
"I know you will do a good job" Ignara said to me snapping out of my thoughts, I gave her a smile as I held tightly onto my blade. "The Herald will call on you contestants soon" she said. My eyes landed on Ashmaris who was sitting on his seat among the Lords.
He seems to be avoiding, like he is being careful which is strange. Even the way he left my chamber like he was in a hurry yesterday and refused to dine with me later that night was strange.
We, the contestants, are called to the platform. Rhaenys and Ignara saying their wishes.
