Versalis set her down on the couch and was gone, heading into the bathroom while the others were still filing in and she stretched her leg out to rest her foot on the table, looking down at the growing lines of darkness.
Pulling her pants up higher, she sighed when she couldn't see the end of it and motioned for Vincent.
He handed her the knife, and she cut off the last of her pants on that side, looking down at the redness crept all the way up to her hip.
"I get the feeling this is going to be bad…" she said as she looked at it, ignoring them all able to see her undergarments, though she was very aware of Sebastian lurking near the wall and his crimson eyes lingering on her.
"Why aren't you healing?" Versalis asked as he returned with a little bag of supplies, putting them down and then streaking into the lab.
"I suppose it's because I don't have any external magic. I can't regenerate flesh without taking souls and flesh, since I can't take any souls, it's just not going to happen."
"Can you try and eat flesh?" Dirdos asked, and she looked at him, grinning.
"Offering?" she asked, and he snorted.
"I can think of something you can eat," he said crudely.
"Who's offering up an arm?" Versalis asked, coming back into the room with several vials he was squinting at. "Stop labelling these in whatever backwards language it is you use in Ceress. It's impossible to read."
"That's the point, so you bastards stop stealing my stuff."
"I don't steal your stuff…"
"You do too."
He looked at her, eyes narrowed, and she looked back at him, daring him to deny it.
"I'm not going to stop stealing your stuff," he said, unrepentant.
"You're fully capable of making your own!"
"You keep stockpiles…"
"Make your own stockpiles!"
"Why, when I can just steal yours?"
"Stop stealing my stuff!"
"No," he said simply, and she fumed.
"It's like watching siblings…" Dirdos said.
"I used to steal her stuff too…" Letari said happily, enjoying the conversation.
Turning on the others, they were all grinning until she looked around and then their faces were very carefully neutral, not looking at her.
"All of you?!" she cried.
"No," Kai said.
"Not me!" Daemon said.
"Nope," Uzo said next.
"I do," Dirdos said, as unrepentant as Versalis.
All eyes turned on Jaia and he simply refused to look at any of them, his jaw clenched.
"I hate all of you…" she sighed, understanding now why she kept thinking she had forgotten to make things over and over. She was making them; they were all just taking it.
"No, you don't, you love us," Daemon said, amused at the sheer number of them who were lying to cover their own backsides and she grunted her denial but couldn't actually say it.
Versalis set to work on her leg and did a great job of ignoring her death glare.
"You're going to have to get some meat into you…" he sighed, Dirdos and Letari immediately started giggling. "Not like that, you perverts… flesh. Either someone offer up an arm or go down to the kitchens."
Much to her surprise, Sebastian stepped forward, and she watched in fascination as he rolled up his sleeve. He was absolutely littered in scars, thousands of them.
"Braver man than most," Dirdos said but Jaia, Daemon, and Kai were all glaring at the man.
Looking up at him curiously, she did her best to hide the way she responded to him, but as her fingers found his, electricity shot between them and they both shivered.
"No more touching," Daemon growled, but she had already lowered her head over his arm.
He smelt like Daemon in some ways, putting out pheromones to enchant, but also, he smelt somehow also like the sirens she had met in the cave, another type of lure. It was hypnotic and pulled at a very deep part of her, a part she tried to contain but it wanted out.
He didn't say anything and when she glanced up, she found his eyes hooded, burning her soul and she knew he would be seeing the same in hers. It was like Versalis only a million times stronger because he was calling to her, singing for her to come die at his feet.
Her lips tingled as she brushed them against his skin and as she dragged her tongue across him, he groaned in a way that had her body clenching in a sudden, almost violent sexual need.
Forcing herself to stay calm, she parted her lips and bit down into his arm. There was no gentle way to go about biting someone with the intent to rip out their flesh and so she tried to do it fast, her double canines sinking into his flesh and then her human shaped teeth pulled, tearing the flesh until her teeth met and she pulled back.
The taste of his blood hit her, and she looked up at him slowly, his eyes a bright crimson and his breathing staggered. Chewing and swallowing the flesh, a low growl escaped her, and she lunged for him.
He jerked back, but she didn't go for his arm, instead her fingers found his head and she jerked him down, her thumbs pressing the mask down and their lips meeting in a hard, hungry kiss.
His arms were around her before anyone had time to move and she curled into him, pressing herself against him even as his fingers curled in her hair and he pulled her even closer.
It was exactly like with Versalis, his triggering every part of her she had ignored. Her sexual desires, her need to satisfy, her need to kill and rip, her pleasure in murder.
Hitching herself up, she wrapped her legs around him and he growled into her as his hand went to her backside to help hold her up.
The others were on them before she could start ripping at his clothes, a vicious desperation to have him buried inside her making her blind to the fact that she didn't know him, nor that she should be mating with him in front of her friends.
She screamed as hands dragged her back and he was snarling as others dragged at him, wanting desperately to get back to each other but unable to with so many restraining them.
"Get him out!" Daemon yelled and she caught sight of the Cambion without his mask. His eyes were black with the pupil and iris being a solid yellow gold and his mouth was wider than most, almost as wide as Vincent's and filled with a row of sharp, dangerous looking teeth that looked exactly like a shark's teeth.
The thought of those teeth ripping into flesh, ripping into her shoulder as he took her while she was on her hands and knees before him, all had her writhing to get free, to get to him, but they were pulling her backwards.
Sebastian was dragged from the room, his eyes locked on hers and struggling viciously to get free. Someone was screaming and his face was bloody, the sight exciting her even more. She wanted to lick that blood from his face, and she was enraged when he vanished from sight behind the slamming doors.
She screamed her fury, not caring that she was tearing into her friends, or that they were pleading for her to stop and to calm down.
She didn't know who had her, nor did it matter, all she knew was they were trying to keep her from the one she wanted and that meant she had to destroy them.
"Daemon! Dose her!" someone screamed, and she screamed louder, a hand clamping over her mouth getting bitten and the owner howled.
She got one arm free and turned, slamming her fist into someone's face, ripping herself free of them and backing away.
She didn't recognise any of them, her eyes hooded and wary as she panted and took them all in.
They were dangerous, and they were trying to contain her, she would kill them if they tried again. They would die for their actions.
The golden eyed one had a tube in his hand, and she eyed him warily, his nature calling to her too and she smiled, her eyes dragging down his frame.
"You could come too you know, demon," she purred, and he jerked back, surprised. Did he not know she could speak? She didn't know. "It could be the three of us."
She licked the blood from her lips slowly, suggestively, and she laughed when his eyes flared with a golden glow and his body tensed, wanting her even as she wanted the Cambion.
Her eyes went to the other two, a set of men who looked very similar. The harder of the two might be fun and she bit gently on her lower lip as she considered him.
"And the vampire," she purred, laughing at their mirrored shocked expressions. "Or both, I don't care."
The last was a Fae and there was something about him that screamed that he was not a mate and so she moved back to the Demon, enjoying his struggle.
"Let me go and you can come with us…" she trailed her hands down slowly over her body, both hands sliding slowly between her legs and her brow lifted, a wicked grin coming over her lips as she said. "You can come with me…"
His struggle was delicious, and she flicked her gaze to the two vampires, thinking the softer of the two might be fun to break, to ruin that sweet innocence.
"What about you two, do you like sharing?" she asked, slowly inching herself sideways, though she didn't think they could tell, too distracted by her body and the words she spoke. "I like sharing…"
"Etani stop this!" the softer one said, and she made a soft sound of disappointment.
"Don't you want to fuck me, little vampire? You would enjoy it; I can promise you that."
He looked offended but his mirror image was furious, not with need, but with anger. Were they lovers? Was she propositioning his partner? That was a shame, she didn't have much use for men who only loved other men, but perhaps they hadn't tried a woman before?
The thought of having them learn the pleasures of the female form had her smiling at them hungrily, inching closer and she was delighted when they didn't try to run or fight.
The softer of the two seemed frozen in place as her fingers found him and she drew him closer, her lips a mere inch from his while her hand found that of his mirror image, drawing his hand around to her waist.
Her lips met his, and she kissed him hard, a deep need flooding out of her and into the two of them.
The Fae was moving, and she broke back from the frozen kiss when the mirror image was jerked away from her, leaving her with the frozen twin.
"Get lost, Fae," she snapped, her arms going protectively around the vampire.
The Fae slapped her with such force that she hit the floor, gasping as her face exploded with pain and she found herself unable to use her jaw at all, broken.
Sitting up, she clutched her face and stared up at the Fae, trying to make herself look as small and fragile as possible while her body worked to heal the damage at a trickle that had her concerned. That was not normal.
He was bearing down on her and she scrambled back from him, her eyes wide as fear flooded through her. She wouldn't have minded the slap if it was because he wanted to beat her into submission before having her, but he didn't want that at all, he was trying to get her to go back to sleep, to stop having fun and to wake up to herself.
She didn't want that, she wanted to be the creature she truly was when no one was trying to push her down or control her.
The wall behind her stopped her from being able to escape him and he reached down and grabbed the front of her clothes, her eyes huge as his hand lifted in another slap. Cringing back from him, she felt a stab at her hip, and she looked down, seeing the little tube the demon had been holding was shoved against her skin. The end of the tube was pushed down, and she looked up to find the demon himself had done it.
"Why…?" she whispered, finally able to speak again.
"Sleep, Etani," he growled, his need still burning inside him.
She did sleep, the world fading slowly into nothingness and the Fae wrapped his arms around her protectively, holding her up.
