Chapter 102 - Chapter 103: Noooo!!

Chapter 103: Noooo!!

Saitama had never been this furious. Since losing every strand of hair and becoming the strongest, he'd never felt rage surge through him with such force.

Whether he was being trounced at rock-paper-scissors by Bang or getting styled on in video games with King, Saitama's annoyance had always carried more stubborn disbelief at his repeated losses than genuine anger.

But now—staring at the television that had kept him company for years, the author-autographed manga he'd queued forever to snag, the brand-new air-conditioner he'd just blown his savings on, plus the burst water pipes and severed cables—

Saitama's composure shattered.

In that instant he saw free water and power overhead, crowned by a halo, drifting gently toward heaven.

"Sonic! Why the hell did you blow up my apartment for no reason? You think that's funny?!"

For once the Bald Demon King got Sonic's name right, veins bulging across his smooth scalp as Killing Intent exploded from him without restraint.

Sonic had achieved his goal of enraging Saitama; the corners of his mouth curled, his eyes brimming with the joy of successful revenge.

That's it… hate me… savor my vengeance!

He opened his mouth to taunt, but his gaze met Saitama's eyes.

In the next heartbeat Sonic froze, as though plunged into an icy abyss.

In his perception the whole world turned crimson; boundless, violent Killing Intent rolled off the furious bald man, every cell in Sonic's body shrieking in terror.

Death—death death death death—absolutely no way to survive!

The mind of a well-trained Ninja held no plan of escape or attack, only a primal death-warning klaxon.

Shhk!

Sonic ripped the long blade from his waist and slashed his own thigh; as blood spurted from the wound he regained control of his body.

Are you kidding me?! How can this baldy be that strong!

Without hesitation he reached behind his back, produced a dozen black throwing stars from nowhere, and hurled them at Saitama.

Guided by a Ninja's precision, the stars carved different arcs through the air, surrounding Saitama.

They sliced the wind, leaving sharp trails as they sped toward the back of his head, the crown of his skull, his neck, his heart—every lethal point.

Having done that, Sonic didn't press the attack; he spun and fled, vanishing in a blur.

"Hmph! I'm not fully recovered—another day! Don't think I'm scared of you!"

He blamed his cowardice on his unhealed body; once he recuperated, he told himself, he'd thrash Saitama.

Yeah—that's definitely it!

A metallic clang rang out behind him; Sonic glanced back to see a gleaming bald scalp closing the distance at terrifying speed.

Too furious for Ninja games, Saitama swatted every star aside with one sweep of his hand.

His monstrous strength let him outpace Sonic by an absurd margin; in the blink of an eye he was upon him.

Crap!

Sonic never imagined the speed he prided himself on would be crushed by an ordinary-looking bald man.

Knowing he couldn't outrun him, Sonic drew his long blade; its edge flashed coldly as he slashed at Saitama.

Hmm?

Feeling the wind at his neck, Saitama tilted his head, opened wide, and clamped his teeth on the blade.

Crack!

The sound of breaking metal filled the air—yet it wasn't Saitama's teeth that shattered, but Sonic's painstakingly forged sword.

As shards rained down, a chill ran the length of Sonic's spine; panic seized him for the first time.

Is this guy even human?!

The thought had barely formed when a powerful hand seized his collar, and a devilish voice growled in his ear:

"Got you! Pay for every bit of damage, you vandalizing bastard!"

Before Sonic could react a fist smashed into his face, his eyes rolling back as he nearly blacked out.

Yet the Bald Demon King wielded strength with surgical precision; despite possessing world-ending force, he could pummel someone infinitely weaker without killing him.

Sonic was swallowed by a storm of red after-images, his face beaten black and blue.

Seeing the state he was in, Saitama froze mid-punch, sighed in resignation, and released Sonic's collar.

"Ah, forget it. Let's talk compensation—you blew up my apartment. How much are you going to pay…"

Before he could finish, Sonic darted back the instant the grip loosened, scooping up his broken blade.

A black after-image streaked through the void as Sonic appeared above Saitama, blade pointing downward in free-fall, aiming to plant it in the bald head.

Recalling the humiliations of prison, the daily nightmare existence—all caused by this baldy and that King—

"Die, Saitama! I'll kill you—Hidden Blade Slash!"

Saitama glanced up, stepped back two paces, and raised his fist toward the sky, holding it there.

Sonic's pupils shrank as he spotted where his body was heading; alarm bells screamed in his skull.

No way… this landing zone is wrong—what the hell!!

With eyes wide in horror he watched the spot between his legs descend toward that waiting fist.

No! No-no-no-no-no-no!! Noooo!!
