She brought me to their villa, fussing all over me until i reminded her that I'm an adult in a toddler's body.
The way that she still kept fussing over me seemed like she doesn't mind despite what I said until I decided to let her be.
She gave me a bath, which I enjoyed immensely and combed my hair gently while singing some sort of a song that made me realize that she is treating me like I'm her offspring.
I'm not sure what kind of being she is though she looked like a fairy but she told me that she isn't one. However, she is closely related to their kind.
After naming all the beings I know that might be closely related to her, she laughed as she told me that she isn't any of them.
With a grin, she told me what kind she is, making me ponder for a bit before admitting that I don't have any idea as I'm not familiar with it.
The name of her kind is too long for me to remember.
Oh, well.
But she does look like a fairy, somewhat.
And she's a prey.
A prey?
The look on my face made her laugh uncontrollably before telling me that being a prey should've given me an idea on why she fussed over me like I'm her female offspring.

She must've given birth to a lot of offsprings and since her mate must be a deserter as he is the ruler of the trading hub, all of their offsprings are all male.
Goodness.
I can just imagine the chaos.
Now that I'm clean and wearing decent clothing, she carried me in her arms as she walked towards their lounging area.
She murmured under her breath that it's a good thing that all of her offsprings are away that the house looks decent for a change.
Gently, she placed me on the carpet, as there are no chairs and gave me some nuts to eat.

I don't like nuts that much.
Seeing that I only ate a tiny bit, she pondered for a moment before offering me some dried fruits.
I thanked her before eating some of it.
My stomach still feels empty.
But I'm too shy to ask her for anything else so I just stayed silent and continued to fidget with my hands.
We talked about all sorts of things while she braided my hair until she asked me why I am roaming around alone.
And not wearing any shoes.
Hearing her gentle voice finally broke me and I cried uncontrollably as I told her what happened between tears.
She embraced me as she caressed my hair, making me miss my real mother, who was already dead for more than a century.
I continued crying until my eyes swelled too much that I have difficulty in opening them.
Finally I calmed down in which she told me that she will take care of everything and gave me a small bottle of fruit juice before going outside the villa.
Then I heard a thunderous roar in which the floor seems to shake slightly.
I have a feeling that she's scary when she's angry.
In just a few moments, I heard a crash outside the villa in which I presumed must be her mate that just arrived.
To my great surprise, she is taller than her mate.
But to be fair, her mate is quite tall like Alpha.
Seeing them beside each other made me realize that she is so tall but I was too troubled earlier that I didn't noticed.
Now I noticed.
She is telling her mate everything what I said in which her mate nodded at her obediently and went out of the villa.
With a tender smile, she told me that her mate is going to get my mates and I shouldn't be afraid of them as they must be worried about me.
And she only has one mate, thankfully and the reason is that she doesn't want more male offsprings.
She is attracted to the deserters but she doesn't want to have more mates as she easily gets pregnant as she is a prey.
Being a prey means more offsprings and being attracted to the deserters means that your offsprings is guaranteed male as there's no presence of a female deserter for a long time.
I wonder why.
Suddenly, we heard another crash in which her mate went inside, asking for more details about my mates.
Oh, right.
I forgot to tell her about it.
After a few moments of telling them about the pack, her mate is about to set off when I suddenly remembered about Khamsin and told him to include Khamsin too.
As soon as he heard Khamsin's name, he asked me with extreme interest in his eyes, if it's the Khamsin that is the ruler of another city.
Oh, Khamsin is famous!
I nodded as I told him that he is in which he excitedly went out the villa to search for the pack and Khamsin.
Myra, the female being's name, looked towards me in envy as she told me that if only she wasn't a prey, she would definitely have more mates as her mate is too busy most of the time.
Oh I see. That's another reason why a lot of creatures and beings take a secondary mate.
After telling her all about my companions in which I admitted on having only four mates and no offsprings, she admitted that my situation is quite unusual.
It took me sometime to understand what she meant.
When I finally got it, I immediately told her that I only have intercourse with my primary mate as we don't have any offsprings yet.
Now she looks even more confused.
I understood why as it is highly unusual for a female on not having any offspring in this world.
Highly unusual as she doesn't know any female that has the same situation like me.
After several moments of pondering, she admitted that she doesn't have a solution to my problem and suggested that I should go to where she came from as they might have a solution for me.
With a sigh, she told me that it must be that our bodies are not compatible so having an offspring with my primary mate is difficult or impossible.

Upon hearing it, I cried uncontrollably until her mate and my companions, except Bubu, arrived at the villa.
Before they entered, I told Myra to keep our conversation a secret in which she nodded at me, promising that she will take it to the grave.

I sobbed for a long time despite Lion and the others efforts on trying to comfort me.
It must be my fault... There's definitely something wrong with my body...
Maybe I did something that made it impossible for me to get pregnant..

Seeing that I didn't calm down and made my eyes puffed up too much that Lion apologized to me first before performing a calming spell on me.

He looked horrified upon hearing it, same with the rest of my companions as they hurriedly tried to reassure me that they weren't angry at all and was just worried about me.

I simply blinked at them without saying anything while Lion gave me a tight hug before handing me to Sly, who looked like he is about to cry.
Sly hugged me tightly as he whispered all sorts of comforting words into my ear until he suddenly remembered that I'm still on my toddler form and hurriedly apologized to me that he hugged me too tight and might've hurt me.
No he didn't, but of course I can't say anything as I'm too relaxed.....
Too relaxed that I simply stared at them without any reaction at all.
After sometime of nuzzling me, Sly asked Lion to remove the spell in which Lion admitted that it will take several moments for the spell to wear off.
Oh, great.
But it's a good thing as well as I have a feeling that I might cry again as soon as the spell wears off.

I wasn't prepared at all.
Though I have some thoughts about it as well, I was in a state of denial until Myra told me unintentionally what I've suspected for a long time.
Hmm.. Lion's calming spell must not be effective after all as tears started to fall down my face.
Upon seeing me crying again, Alpha howled in sadness before Sly handed me to him.
He excused himself in which Myra and her mate tried to distract my companions as they all looked like they are about to cry as well, especially Lion.
Alpha brought me outside the villa, walked around the area for awhile then sat down on a chair while cradling me.
He didn't say anything for a long time.
Then he cleared his throat and asked me why am I afraid of him as he assumed that I know that he won't get angry no matter what I do.
I'm sorry, Alpha. I won't tell you the real reason.

Of course I didn't tell him all of that. And even if I might, I am still under the calming spell so I just continued on staring at him without any emotion on my face, despite my tears.

Thinking about everything made my head hurt too much that despite the calming spell, I yelled in pain as I kept clutching my head.

Alpha began to panic and hurriedly ran towards the villa, making everyone panic as well in which Lion hurriedly took me from Alpha's arms and asked Orm to perform another spell on me.
I cried out as I told Lion that I don't want any spells placed on me and thrashed around in pain in which Myra calmly approached him and took me from his arms.
She caressed my head as she spoke all sorts of words that sounded soothing that I began to relax for a bit.
Clearing her throat, she looked at everyone and told them that they shouldn't perform spells on me for the meantime as it seems that I'm suffering from a different kind of pain that spells won't be effective in healing it.

Seeing that my eyes can barely open, Orm sighed deeply as he told me to close my eyes then placed his hand on my eyelids.

Seeing that I finally calmed down on my own, Myra's mate asked Lion if needs help on turning me back to an adult.
Of course, Lion immediately agreed and asked him about his price.
Myra interrupted her mate and told Lion that there's no cost at all.
Her mate was about to perform the spell in which Myra again interrupted, saying that she needs to do something with me then hurriedly brought me inside a room.
She removed my clothes and made me wear a robe that is too big for me in which she told me that it would be an awkward situation if her mate performed a spell while I am still wearing the clothes that I worn when I was in my toddler form.

I didn't think about that.

After securing the robe around my body, she carried me back to the lounge area and told her mate that he can perform the spell now.
Lion looked at me strangely as he asked Myra why am i wearing something that looks too big on me in which she just gave a grin towards him.
He soon understood why.

But the robe is still too big for me.
Despite that, I'm quite happy to be back in my adult form.
Ghost happily braided my hair while Khamsin, Myra's mate, Lion, Alpha and Sly talked about a business opportunity.

Myra listened for a while then nagged her mate on agreeing everything.
Of course her mate agreed to everything and Myra declared that she is going to handle the business herself as she is too bored and her mate is too busy ruling the place.
Which turned out to be a great decision as she has a lot of ideas that helped the businesses immensely.
Orm is quite busy on making samples of our products though he doesn't seem to mind about it.
After awhile, I suddenly remembered about Deus.
Dad told me that we can find Deus in this location!
I asked Myra's mate if he has any information about our companion in which I tried to describe Deus's description.
While I kept describing Deus, Myra and her mate started to looked like they found the description amusing.
It turns out that Deus made a move towards Myra in which he was placed in a dungeon cell until now.
A powerful kind of spell was placed on his cell that not a creature or a being can manage to escape and he's still there until now.
Of course it's Myra's mate who placed the spell though it's Myra herself that placed him inside the cell.
That's scary.
Myra gave me a grin that seems to say that she prefers a deserter to make a move towards her as she definitely doesn't mind.
Since everyone else is too busy, Ghost carried me in his arms as we went outside the villa.
Holding me tightly, he jumped towards the roof of the villa and tried to find a place comfortable for him.
Afterwards, he sat down and placed me on his lap. He embraced me tightly and told me that he hasn't had the opportunity on telling me what he feels on what I did to him back at Dad's place.

I smiled at him and held his chin, telling him that I do find him beautiful even though I was scared when I first met him.
He chuckled and asked me if I liked that form of his as well.
Of course I told him that I love everything about him and that I would kiss him on his other forms as well.
He laughed for a bit before whispering in my ear that he prefers to kiss me in his current form then kissed me sweetly.
He kissed me all over my face, tenderly and gently while holding one of my hands as his other arm held me towards him.
With a whisper, he told me that his heart is always mine from the start.
But I wonder, if that's how he feels towards me, then why we aren't mates until now?
