Kreischberg, Sokovia
Inside a mountain in Kreischberg, Sokovia, an underground Hydra military base could be seen. Inside this base, many soldiers could be seen running and preparing everything for the arrival of a new prisoner. After a few minutes, a plane arrived and landed slowly on the runway.
A Hydra commander and a mutant emerged from it inside a cryogenic tank. The commander who captured Rumi insisted and had to use some favors he had with his superiors to be able to change bases to this one where he could observe the mutant's fate. He is truly happy, looks around and finds himself face to face with the head of research, who just smiled and approached the director of this base.
"A pleasure to meet you, Dr. Charles. As you can see, I have brought the mutant here for your research and to contribute to Hydra's ambition," he said proudly, since he was the one who captured the mutant.
"Is that the mutant? She looks very weak. Don't tell me you wasted two years of resources capturing a little girl?" the scientist asked with disdain and mockery. He was very confused by this mutant; she looked just like a normal 6-year-old girl with rabbit ears and a tail. She didn't seem like a threat.
"That's just his appearance. This monster killed 20 soldiers and maimed about 12 more, just with his kicks and without any weapons," said the commander, a little annoyed to see how this man despises his job.
"Then it will be interesting to see her mutant factor, perhaps the super soldier project will be completed," he thought with some intrigue and surprise at how strong her mutant factor must be to make a 6-year-old girl able to face and kill trained and armed soldiers, while they were talking the soldiers began to move the cryogenic tank to the base.
"Let's go inside, Commander. I want to hear a report on everything you know about the mutant," the scientist ordered as he walked straight to the base. The commander just sighed in anger as he followed his superior inside the base.
After a tour of the base, they finally arrived at the laboratory where the tests are carried out. Inside a room with hidden cameras and reinforced to withstand a missile explosion, the scientist saw the mutant in the tank and decided that before releasing the mutant and doing the tests, he first needed to know what it was capable of.
"I want you to describe all the mutant's abilities to me, don't exclude anything, even the most useless thing can tell us something about her abilities and their scope," the scientist sighed, because all the precautions they were taking with the girl were very annoying and he was getting tired of it, he wanted to know if she was really so dangerous or if they were just trying to deceive him so that this commander could get a promotion.
"As you command, sir. From what you can see, she has super strength, enough to bend metal with a kick as if it were paper. She has enhanced senses, especially her hearing; she can hear conversations from a kilometer away. She seems to have some kind of future vision, able to dodge shots she couldn't see and react before they were fired. She was able to dodge almost everything we threw at her and move before my men could fire. And she has a regenerative factor strong enough to regenerate limbs and vital organs," he described, with a touch of pride in having caught this monster, even though only he knows he almost failed.
The scientist who heard this got excited and began to get excited about it, taking out a syringe he instructed a soldier to bring a blood sample from the subject, the tank opened for a few seconds and the soldier got a blood sample and left the containment room.
"The tests on the experimental subject will be carried out after I do an analysis of his DNA; I want to know what his mutant gene looks like," he formally informed all the men who were with him as he retired to his laboratory. They all simply nodded as they went back to their duties.
"Let's see what this is. From what I can see, you could be a beta-level mutant. Although you're still a child, you're the first recorded mutant born with the mutations. The rest activate their mutations in adolescence; the youngest recorded mutant is 10 years old. Then there's the matter of your appearance. It's recorded that you appeared on April 9th at an orphanage in Brooklyn. According to the testimony I obtained, a light appeared on that street before the girl appeared out of nowhere. Another issue is how those X-Men didn't notice you. They have that telepathic Xavier; we could never beat those guys in the mutant hunt with his telepathy, but not a single one turned up. What's more, our radiation machine that detects the awakening of mutants didn't register you either. If it weren't for one of our double agents living nearby, we wouldn't even know of your existence," the scientist reflected as he prepared all the equipment for DNA analysis and the calibration of his data collection devices.
For hours the scientist observed and experimented with Rumi's DNA, but the more he investigated, the more fascinated he became. This discovery could be a turning point in his career. He found a new DNA, ran like crazy to a phone and called his superior, Alexander Pierce.
"Sir, I have information about something that could change everything," said the scientist hopefully, as they could finally obtain the advantages he wanted and it would make Hydra the undisputed ruler of the world.
"What is this information you're talking about?" he asked curiously, a little annoyed that they were bothering him out of nowhere, yelling at him as if he were his equal; he hopes this is worth it.
"Sir, we discovered a new species while following the trail of a mutant. Its DNA is highly resistant and adaptable; it could be the key to immortality and superpowers," he said enthusiastically, thinking about how his name would be remembered as the man who discovered immortality.
Pierce, upon hearing this, simply opened his eyes and stood up from his chair in surprise. He didn't believe they would be lucky enough to find another species and have the only living specimen in their laboratory; this would give them the advantage they needed to overcome SHILD.
"How long do you think it will take you to research and decipher this code so that all our soldiers have it?" Pierce asked, his desire and greed fueled by the potential powers it would grant him.
"It would take 7 to 8 years with all the equipment and materials, and 15 to 20 years with the resources we have now," the scientist lied without hesitation, wanting to line his own pockets. Pierce was just bitter about this, but decided it was an expense worth having.
"Very well, we're going to give you priority. I hope you really do it for your own good," he warned seriously, knowing that he could have lied about the time it would take.
"I will not disappoint you, sir. In eight years, all Hydra soldiers will have superpowers and be immortal," the scientist said confidently, as the DNA resembled both human and inhuman DNA.
"Well, I'll wait for results," Pierce said before hanging up. The scientist could only think about how happy his life would be as he headed to the observation room to finally meet this new specimen and test its limits.
Meanwhile, inside the containment room, Rumi could be seen sleeping inside the cryogenic tank. Moments later, the tank was opened, and in another room, they watched as she got up.
After a few minutes, Rumi woke up and with a leap destroyed the tank while getting into a fighting stance.
"Where are you idiots? Show yourself so I can kill you!!" he yelled angrily as he looked around the room, which was white and contained no other objects besides the destroyed cryogenic tank.
"Calm down, girl, you're under Hydra's custody, we're going to test your physical limits," said the scientist from a hidden microphone in the room, however Rumi did the opposite as she began to kick the walls hard.
"Show yourself, coward!! I'll show you my physical limits!!" She screamed in fury as she became more aggressive in her attack and began to leave dents in the walls in the shape of her feet, she continued without caring that her feet began to bleed and break because they healed instantly and she reached a point where half of the room was full of cracks and dents.
The scientist who saw this was thrilled; that room was built to withstand a missile, and this 6-year-old girl was destroying it. According to the data, her blows should have a force of 15 tons.
"Thanks for the information, you can go to sleep now," he said mockingly as he released a sleeping gas into the room. Rumi tried to get away, but it was too late.
"You sons of bitches!!" was all she managed to say before falling asleep. The scientist was relieved and ordered his soldiers to put her in another cryogenic tank. "Let's have an excellent year," he thought.
2 days later
Rumi awoke in pain and confusion. She reacted quickly, assuming a fighting stance, ready for a trap. She remembered being kidnapped by Hydra and how they killed the people she loved. She desperately wanted to scream and cause as much destruction as possible, but she knew that the only thing that would happen was that they would likely lock her away forever in a cryogenic tank and try to create the 'Miruko' serum or something like that. She knew it was her fault for this outcome. She knew that SHILD or Hydra would hunt her and that being weak would only bring her pain and sorrow. But after six years without them appearing, she truly thought she could have a more or less normal childhood. She would become stronger, but she had to do it in secret, without anyone knowing anything. If Hydra knew she was getting stronger, they could increase security and complicate her escape. That was all she thought before an unfamiliar voice spoke to her.
"It's good that you seem calmer; it would be very difficult to deal with you if all you did was try to destroy everything," the mad scientist on the other end said lightly.
"What the hell is Hydra, and what do they want from me?" Rumi complained hatefully, trying to hide his feelings and avoid drawing their attention, knowing that Hydra might try to dissect his brain if they found out he had knowledge of the future.
"That's simple, my dear Rumi. We're going to test the limits of your regeneration and adaptability. Within you may lie the key to an immortal hydra. It is our moral and ethical duty to share this gift with all the chosen ones," the mad scientist said fanatically from across the room. Rumi, from what she could see, was in a shielded room with many hidden cameras and microphones. With her Haki, she could sense that she was underground and that the scientist was on the other side. She left that for later.
"That's not all you want from me, you bastards! Show yourself and fight if you have the guts, you damn four-eyes!!" she yelled furiously. With each passing moment, it became harder to stay calm after the deaths of Margot and her mother.
"You're right, you're special, you're what Hydra needs to achieve its goals, you'll be our weapon, our tool, our soldier," the scientist said with barely contained amusement and excitement.
Rumi understood that they wanted to turn her into a Winter Soldier, that they would brainwash her, so without waiting any longer she attacked the door of the room with all her strength, but she was stopped by a strong electric current, she screamed in pain for minutes until it turned off and she fell to the ground recovering.
"Don't get too excited, there will be time for fun. First, let's test how much damage your body can withstand, and after that will come your indoctrination and training to serve Hydra," said the scientist, excited because he could finally test the limits of Rumi's regeneration. He was eager for the data he would obtain.
"First, let's test how you handle a fire. The flames will reach 300 degrees. Have fun," was all Rumi heard before everything around her was engulfed in flames. She felt her entire body being destroyed only to regenerate. Her skin, eyes, and ears ached like hell. Everything had turned to pain. After half an hour, the flames died down, revealing Rumi's charred image. The scientist waited for minutes as all the charred parts of Rumi peeled away and new ones grew in their place. After 15 minutes, Rumi lay on the floor, tired and nearly exhausted, in excruciating pain.
"Impressive, for a moment I was scared thinking I had overestimated your regenerative factor, but it seems you just needed time. Rest for now, your new name will be subject 6r. We will continue testing until we understand your limits so you can have efficient training. Good night," said the scientist as the entire room filled with sleeping gas and Rumi struggled to stay conscious.
"One day I will kill you, bastards," Rumi whispered as she fell unconscious with intense anger and sadness.
Rumi woke up again in the same bed, in the same room. After waking up, she jumped out of bed and went to the door, kicking it to try to deflect it, but instead she was met with an electric shock.
"As hyperactive as ever, subject 6r, it's good to see you haven't lost your strength. Today we'll do something different than yesterday. Instead of burning you, we're going to test your resistance to cold. I hope you enjoy it," the scientist mocked, for he knew the irony of the situation; that girl could kill him in a few seconds, but here she was being tortured by them.
"You're going to pay for this, even if it's the last thing I do!" she screamed in anger as the room's temperature plummeted and ice formed. She furiously pounded on the door for a few minutes, damaging it before becoming too cold and collapsing. She felt her muscles begin to fail and suffer necrosis. After four hours, she shut down, as Rumi resembled a mummy due to the necrosis. After one hour, Rumi returned to normal.
"That's interesting, I can withstand the cold better, why? He even reached absolute zero before his heart stopped beating for a few seconds. Well, I guess a lot of tests are needed. We're going to have a very fun year, don't you think, Subject 6r? Hahahaha," the scientist laughed uncontrollably.
"One day you will die, and I will be there to make sure of that," Rumi said wearily as armed soldiers entered and beat her while they chained her up and put her inside the cryogenic tank.
