Season 2 - Chapter 17: Prey in Angel Skin
Erisa's fog covered the whole house. Volt stood in the middle of the hall, eyeing Vanessa. But there was one thing... Vanessa wasn't the same. Her eyes grew a little colder, and the white sword Alyssa had brought was now in Vanessa's hands.
Finding the truth
"Volt, why are you looking at me like that? I'm your wife. Come on, let's end this war," Vanessa said quietly.
Volt looked at Vanessa's hands for a second. The circle that Volt had created for him so many years ago was out of reach. Volt realized that this was not Vanessa, but Erisa who had stolen not only her shape, but part of her memories as well.
"Erisa... you made a big mistake. You put on her body, but you couldn't steal the love in her heart. Get off that skin, before I show you hell," Volt said in a low, sad voice.
Ruthless War: Volt against Vanessa's Skin
Erisa laughed terribly when she saw it was exposed. "Well, Volt... let's see if the monster king can swing swords in the face he loves?"
Erisa attacked with Vanessa's body. For the first time in his life, Volt wasn't moving, he was just deflecting his kicks. Every sword that Erisa swung, Volt recalled images of his and Vanessa's lives. But when Erysa tried to kill Alyssa, who was crying in a corner, Volt changed.
Volt extinguished all human compassion in his heart. In order to save the real Vanessa, he had to destroy this fake body.
The wrath of the monster king
With unprecedented speed, Volt grabbed Vanessa's face. He used no white power, only monstrous black power.
Volt: "You insulted my most sacred thing. So be prepared for pain that even 'non-existence' can't save you!"
Volt attacked Erisa with such ruthlessness that the whole house was about to turn to dust. He was pulling Erica out of Vanessa's body like a beast. Each Volt strike was like a universe cracking.
Anos and Akuto watched in fear from a distance. They did not recognize their father. This wasn't the Volt baking bread for them, this was the "white devil" seeking revenge.
The rescue and the new threat
Eventually, Volt was able to remove Erisa's black soul from the fake body and crush it with his hands. The fake body spread like fog. But at that moment, the real Erica's voice came from everywhere:
"Volt... you destroyed a fake body. But the real Vanessa is with me, in the 'Prison of the Moon'. If you want to see her again, you have to sacrifice the whole universe to get to me.
Volt stood in the middle of the courtyard, blood dripping from his hands (Erisa's blood). He looked at Anos, Akuto, and Alyssa.
Volt: "Get ready... We're not going to Hell this time. We're going to a place where gods and monsters die this time. We're going to erase Erisa from history."
