His eyes remained fixed on the altar.
The glow it emitted was no longer the same as before. It pulsed with deeper intensity, the cracks along its surface shining brighter, as if the soul it had absorbed was feeding it. The light no longer felt dormant. It felt active.
"Interesting," Leon muttered under his breath.
