The man who blocked Emilia's path was a high elf.
High elves were a race that prided themselves above all other elves, believing themselves to be the purest, most superior lineage.
They often looked down not only on humans and other races, but on other elven races as well, treating them as diluted versions of what they considered perfection.
This particular high elf had long blond hair tied neatly behind his head, sharp features, and pointed ears adorned with faintly glowing ornaments.
His posture was relaxed, confident, almost arrogant, as if he had already decided the outcome of this encounter.
"Come on now," the blond-haired elf said as he took a step forward, his tone smooth and coaxing. "I promise I'm much better than this…"
His eyes flicked toward Leon for a brief moment, his lips twisting in open disgust.
"…thing."
The insult was not subtle. Everyone nearby immediately understood what he meant.
Leon's world was Earth. And Earth was a low-level world.
