Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: The Noritake Crestwood Gold Kitchenware

Even though he had steeled himself, Sanji was still stunned when he saw what tumbled out.

He hadn't expected such a tiny jar to hold so many things.

Yes, this time he pulled more than usual. Not three items—when Amon counted carefully, there were ten.

That surprised even him. Up to now the system had always spat out exactly three items. A jackpot like this was a first.

But once he scanned everything with the system, he relaxed.

Strictly speaking, the jar had still produced three "things." The reason ten pieces appeared was because eight of them formed one complete set.

Those eight pieces counted as a single item.

They were a full set of legendary chef's tools: The Legendary Noritake Crestwood Gold Kitchenware.

"Mr. Amon, what did I get? How am I supposed to use all this?" Sanji turned the pieces over in his hands, completely at a loss.

"Ahem, Sanji, your luck is ridiculous. You actually drew a pile of treasures. Especially those eight Gold Kitchenware—I'm jealous of your roll."

Amon had already checked them all.

[Noritake Crestwood Gold Kitchenware]: Eight golden tools for culinary arts. They contain: 2 special knives, 2 special kettles, a Brazier, the Spirit Storehouse, and the Jade Cauldron.

[Master Chef Card]: Use to instantly inherit the full experience and techniques of a master-class chef. Even someone with zero training can become a master on the spot.

[Riley's Photobook]: A certain teacher's glossy photo collection, extremely collectible.

All three were perfect for Sanji, especially the Master Chef Card and the Legendary Gold Kitchenware. With those two, becoming head chef of the Baratie would be child's play.

As for the last one, well, that was… you get the idea. Sanji would definitely appreciate it.

"All treasures?" Sanji's face lit up. "What kind of treasures? I don't really understand what I'm looking at."

Without Amon's system, he had no way to know how to use them.

"Easy, I'll walk you through it." Amon smiled. "First, these eight pieces. As a chef, I'm honestly thrilled for you. You pulled one of the most famous sets in the culinary world: the Noritake Crestwood Gold Kitchenware."

Sure enough, Sanji blinked, baffled. "Noritake Crestwood Gold Kitchenware? Mr. Amon, what is that?"

Oh right, Sanji didn't know about it.

Realizing that, Amon patiently explained.

"The Noritake Crestwood Gold Kitchenware are top-tier tools for cooking. Every chef dreams of them. The eight are: 2 special knives, 2 special kettles, a Brazier, the Spirit Storehouse, and the Jade utensil."

"Each one does something different. This small blade with the king-beast crest is the Ever-Soul Knife," Amon said, lifting a patterned knife.

"The Ever-Soul Knife is for seafood. It restores lost freshness to ingredients."

He picked up the monster fish he had portioned earlier and began slicing again. Under the Ever-Soul Knife, the slightly dull flesh regained a glossy sheen.

Swish, swish.

The blade flashed, and thin, translucent slices of sashimi piled up.

He lifted a slice on the tip of the knife and offered it to Sanji. "Try it."

Staring at the crystal-clear slice, Sanji couldn't hide his amazement at the knife work. He picked one up and tasted it.

"So fresh." The moment it touched his tongue, a wave of pure ocean sweetness filled his mouth. You could never tell the fish had been sitting half a day.

"See? I wasn't lying. The Ever-Soul Knife is a rare chef's blade. I'm entrusting it to you. Make it shine."

Amon handed the knife over.

"I won't let it down." Sanji nodded hard, gripping the handle.

"The second blade is the Garuda Knife. It's the partner to the Ever-Soul, but this one specializes in fowl and game. It can instantly purify ingredients. Same idea as the Ever-Soul, just don't mix them up."

After passing over the first knife, Amon drew out another blade engraved with a phoenix motif.

With a flick of his finger, a gull overhead dropped, clipped by an invisible crescent of sword aura.

Before the bird hit the deck, Amon moved. Blade rose, blade fell, and the entire gull came apart in clean sections, smooth as flowing water, leaving Sanji staring, mouth hanging open.
