It was the end of summer before 8th grade I was 13 years old, I just had my birthday in June school was about to start up. My mom had been sick for a while, in and out of the hospital so me and my sister were always back and forth between places. Shortly after my 13th birthday we had been evicted from our little house. My mom decided we'd be going to stay with my older sister 3 hours away. While staying there my moms health became increasingly worse and she was hospitalized. We visited her at the hospital regularly while also trying to enjoy our summer. School was around the corner, a new school, in a new town, with all new people. I was terrified.
I don't quite remember what the first weeks of school was like. I had made a couple friends Samara and Kaidence. Samara was also new to the school she had just moved from a small town called Norfolk. Kaidence on the other hand had lived here in Lincoln her whole life. They were amazing free spirits loads of energy so kind.
Out of all of my year at that's school there is only a few hours of one day i remember, the worst day of my life.
