Scene 7: Curse of the Throne - The Open Ending
EXT. CASTLE BALCONY - DAY
KENNEDY stands on the castle balcony, attempting to calm the angry crowd in the square. Suddenly, a bullet pierces his head. The crowd falls into a haunting silence. GANDHI gasps for air, while the rest stand in a state of absolute shock.
KENNEDY
(Falls to the ground)
ZEUS
(Staring at Kennedy with visible sadness)
"Death comes from the Non-Kingdom... a world over which I have no power."
INT. CASTLE - CONTINUOUS
The crowd begins to flee. CESARE BORGIA picks up the golden necklace that fell from Kennedy's hand. A wicked smile spreads across his face.
CESARE BORGIA
(Whispering to himself)
"The blood I promised you... will be the blood of everyone in this room."
EXT. ILIUM - AERIAL VIEW
The scene fades to an overhead shot of Ilium. Fires consume the square. HERCULES smashes the castle gate with his axe. PICASSO paints the burning soldiers on a wall like a prophecy. APHRODITE vanishes into the shadows with a mysterious smile.
Meanwhile, the DEMONIC ENTITY perches atop the golden dome of the throne. The golden necklace wraps around it like a snake.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
(In a voice like a death rattle)
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
FINAL SHOT:
The golden necklace suddenly appears on the Demon's throne. The screen goes black to the sound of CESARE BORGIA'S laughter, followed by KENNEDY'S stifled scream.
