Chapter 97: The Dark Lolita and the Black Monster Cat
"What kind of experiment is this?"
Jake looked at Simms helplessly, wanting a reasonable explanation.
"Parasites are creatures that can learn and mature quickly; their growth cycle can be as short as a few hours."
"So, I wanted to test whether instilling personality traits into it while it was learning about external information would change it."
Looking at the elegant black cat, it was practically radiating an aura of superiority.
It had created a parasite, and it had even learned dominant traits on its own.
"Alright, do you feel like you've succeeded?"

"Looks like I need to give you a name." Jake held the black cat up and looked at it, then nodded seriously. "Let's call you Black Tiger, it's imposing enough!"
"Can I refuse?" This time, the black cat didn't accept immediately.
"Why?"
"Tiger, in human society, is mostly used to describe males, and I am female."
Jake slapped his forehead and glared at Simms. "What kind of experiment did you conduct? Did you give it an identity crisis? And why does it talk so formally?"
Simms lowered his head very seriously and apologized, his attitude too genuine, making Jake suppress his anger.
"So, what's your name?"
"Black Cat Princess."
"Black Cat is fine, but why add 'Princess'?"
"Because I learned from Japanese cultural sources, so of course I have to use that country's vocabulary."
Jake sighed. "Fine, whatever you say."
The experiment didn't end there. At Jake's request, Black Cat cooperated with Simms to conduct a series of tests and collect data before it finally ended.
Since catching Jake "cheating" last time, Matilda has been deliberately staying at school for many days. Jake was happy to have some peace and quiet and didn't mind at all. In this peaceful world, it was hard to find anyone who could threaten the girl in her high-tech combat suit.
Without Matilda at home, the black cat roamed the entire estate with an air of superiority. According to it, this was its master's castle, and therefore its own domain.
That day, Matilda returned, as it was the weekend.
Upon her return, Matilda saw the black cat lounging lazily on the bed and eagerly scooped it into her arms.
"Is this for me?" she asked, seemingly no longer angry. It was unclear what she had been thinking about these past few days.
Thankfully, she hadn't done anything to upset Jake.
"No," Jake replied, not idle, but starting to shop online, preparing for his upcoming journey to another world.
Matilda's smile instantly froze. She glared at Jake angrily and tossed the black cat onto the sofa.
"Ow!" the black cat cried out, "You hurt me!"
Jake, standing nearby, merely glanced at it, completely ignoring the cat. Due to Simms's genetic design, the black cat was extremely affectionate toward Jake, always trying to snuggle into his arms.
However, Jake didn't want to hold a cat all the time, and he had things to do, so this somewhat manipulative cat began using various low-level tactics to attract Jake's attention.
Obviously, it failed again this time.
Jake didn't react, but Matilda was so surprised that her mouth dropped open, her eyes wide, and she pointed a trembling finger at the black cat, "The... the cat talked!!"
"Nice to meet you," the black cat said with dignity, sitting up from the sofa and giving Matilda a slight bow, "I am Princess Black Cat, Master's favorite pet."
"What a polite cat," Matilda exclaimed.
Shouldn't you be continuing to be amazed that the cat can talk? Jake didn't voice his inner thoughts.

Jake didn't know what happened next, because the unusual dark-dressed girl and the unusual black monster cat had gone outside to settle things.
The black cat's feline body limited its power, while Matilda, although wearing high-tech equipment, didn't have much combat experience, so if the two really fought, it was hard to say who would win.
However, odds are the black cat would win. After all, as a parasite, it's quite lethal when it unleashes its full power. But there's no need to worry about Matilda's safety. With its intelligence and emotional intelligence constantly improving under Simms's experimental education, the black cat is unlikely to harm Matilda.
Several minutes later, as Jake finished his online shopping, sipped his drink, and planned his preparations for the new world, the two returned.
Both were clean and looked unusually friendly, but Jake didn't believe they hadn't fought.
Matilda hopped over and sat down next to Jake, while the black cat perched on Matilda's head, and the two were even chatting.
"Let Princess Black Cat go to school with me," were Matilda's first words to Jake after sitting down.
"Yes, Master, please let me accompany Princess Matilda to school. I will definitely protect her," the black cat replied, widening its eyes and trying to look adorable.
"No," Jake shook his head decisively. "If you reveal your true form outside, or speak, it will cause me a lot of trouble."
"That's simple. I promise I won't reveal it. Besides, I find that ugly state disgusting myself."
He looked suspiciously at the black cat, then at Matilda...
After the cat and the girl pleaded desperately, Jake finally reluctantly agreed. However, he had his own conditions: if the black cat or Matilda disobeyed, he would simply dispose of the black cat.
Although the punishment was severe, both nodded in agreement.
After successfully obtaining Jake's consent, the dark-dressed girl pouted and kissed Jake on the cheek, and the black cat actually imitated her, but Jake reached out to stop it.
The black cat actually stretched out its neck and licked his face!
"So cool, Black Cat Princess!" Matilda clapped her hands in amazement.
"That's because you haven't seen its true form," Jake wiped the saliva from his face.
