[One thousand five hundred Primogems?]
[One event gives this much, did miHoYo dig up a gMihoyone?]
[Don't know, just asking—is one thousand five hundred Primogems a lot?]
[This you wouldn't get, huh? Actually, I don't get it either.]
[Ordinary game mini-events give just four hundred twenty Primogems; the more generous ones give a thousand to twelve hundred Primogems.]
[This event straight-up gives one thousand five hundred Primogems—you tell me if that's a lot.]
[Natlan character stats being inflated is one thing, but now even the Primogems from events are inflated too.]
[I just wanna say... well done, keep it coming!]
[Next time, still complaining about too few Primogems.jpg]
"On average, each game in this event gives five hundred Primogems, but a previous mini-event only gave four hundred twenty Primogems." Mu Yang said, his mouth corners curving upward.
Bro, these numbers are way too inflated.
Inflated to the point where my mouth corners can't even close.
[Don't celebrate too early; maybe miHoYo will deduct these extra Primogems from later events.]
[Or maybe they'll just skip a whole mini-event.]
[Future stuff for the future; streamer, hurry and check what the mini-games are.]
Genshin Impact's events are usually mini-games, and players treat playing them like reminiscing about childhood.
Mu Yang opened the first mini-game, and the screen before his eyes changed. First to come into view were the Abyss monsters lined up outside Natlan's borders.
Then, the camera panned left, revealing a bunch of cards illustrated with pictures.
The cards depicted were the defense towers seen earlier in the "Children of Echoes," along with other defensive facilities.
At the same time.
Rios's voice rang out.
"These defensive facilities are an indispensable part of our resistance against the Abyss invasion."
"By reasonably arranging them on the field, eliminate all the invading monsters."
Finally, the camera settled on the central wasteland, hinting that players needed to place the defensive facilities on the wasteland.
"This..." Mu Yang's eyes widened slightly, his face showing surprise. "Isn't this just Plants vs. Zombies?"
[It really is!]
[Defense towers are the plants, zombies are the Abyss monsters!]
[Now that's really reminiscing childhood.]
[Plants vs. Zombies ×, Natlan vs. Abyss ✓]
[Since it's Plants vs. Zombies, will sunshine drop from the sky too?]
[Natlan has two suns, so is the sunshine dropping double too?]
Mu Yang started the first stage. After getting a clear look at the defensive facilities' functions, he arranged them on the field according to his past experience playing Plants vs. Zombies.
"Actually, these defensive facilities' functions are a bit stronger than those plants." Mu Yang said with a smile.
Like the defense tower, which could attack all the monsters in the nearby few grids at once, and the damage was particularly high.
Then there was the Phlogiston machine gun, which, compared to the Peashooter, had a much higher damage frequency.
What surprised Mu Yang the most was that there was even a flying device that could mount weapons into the sky.
Though the price was relatively expensive, using it allowed two defensive facilities to be placed in one grid.
After placing the defensive facilities and clicking start, the Abyss monsters began invading Natlan.
Though they were called Abyss monsters, quite a few were Hilichurls.
The Hilichurls with wooden clubs were just like ordinary zombies, with blood bars that were pretty much the shortest. They hadn't even walked far into the field before they were eliminated by the defense towers and Phlogiston machine guns.
Even when the Abyss sent a group of Hilichurls, they were basically wiped out after just a few steps, posing no threat to Natlan at all.
At that moment, Mavuika's voice rang out.
"Well done, Traveler." Mavuika's voice carried encouragement. "I didn't expect you'd pick up arranging the defensive facilities so quickly—it couldn't stump you at all."
Hearing the praise, Mu Yang, as the player, immediately grinned wide: "Of course, we're the Traveler who can go anywhere from heaven to earth, omnipotent, and we do everything super well."
Stuff like Plants vs. Zombies was totally no big deal for them.
"Since the Traveler has already mastered the basics, let's move on to the practical combat phase next." Rios's voice followed.
"Bring it on." Mu Yang's confidence was bursting.
Not just because of Mavuika's earlier compliment, but according to miHoYo's usual routine, the mini-games they made weren't really that hard.
Even for players who'd never touched it before, even skipping the detailed playstyle explanations, they could figure it out and clear it after pondering for a few minutes.
Not to mention, Mu Yang had played similar games before, so no matter what enemies showed up in the later stages, he wouldn't be scared.
There was nothing left to fear.
But then, upon seeing the enemies in the next stage, Mu Yang was so shocked his mouth hung open, eyes bulging wide, as if he'd seen a ghost.
"Th-this is what?"
Paimon's voice rang out in surprise.
The enemies debuting in the second stage were no longer small fry like Hilichurls, but massive foes instead.
Osial, Apep, the Dendro Dragon Sovereign, the Star-Devouring Whale...
"These aren't Abyss monsters at all!" Paimon complained loudly, but her voice sounded like she was whining.
"They're indeed not Abyss monsters... but as I told you earlier, the Abyss can mimic other monsters."
"Who knows, next time we meet, they might shapeshift into these guys' appearances."
"We have to assume the greatest malice toward the Abyss."
Rios's voice carried a hint of amusement.
"For some reason... it feels like the Pyro Archon's malice is the greatest."
Paimon grumbled.
"You got it right."
"I knew it!"
Paimon's voice sounded a bit annoyed.
"I know you're a bit shocked, but just like Rios said, the Abyss really will mimic other monsters' forms."
Mavuika joined the conversation at this point: "Though right now we can only see them mimicking not-so-strong monsters, who knows if they might really shapeshift into these Archon-level enemies?"
"That's all well and good to say, but the previous stage was Hilichurls, and the next is Archons—this gap is way too big." Paimon said.
"What's wrong with that? When I inherited the Pyro Archon's position, wasn't it the same—one second I was human, the next I was a god?" Rios said with a laugh.
"That's not comparable at all!" Paimon retorted loudly.
Because Paimon had said all the lines that needed saying, Mu Yang had nothing left to retort.
He could only silently arrange his equipment, waiting for the Abyss monsters mimicking big shots like the Hydro Dragon Sovereign to invade.
After clicking start, every few seconds, the Hydro Dragon Sovereign stepped out first, each step causing the ground to shake violently.
It hadn't even taken a few steps before the defensive facilities were actually shattered by the ground's vibrations.
"How the hell do you even fight this?!"
