About eighty percent of the surface of this world is covered by water, and only the remaining twenty form land.
In this boundless ocean, there exist two continents, located on opposite sides of the planet.
The Eastern continent, known as Tautari – the land of people endowed with magical abilities. However, for this gift, Tautari pays a high price. From time to time, dangerous monsters of unknown origin appear here, and each of their arrivals serves as a reminder that power is never free.
The Western continent – Vakananga, has never known people with unusual abilities. Magic here neither arose nor took root. But precisely because of this, Vakananga does not know the misfortunes that pursue Tautari: monsters do not appear on its lands.
Thus, the two continents exist on different sides of the world. One, endowed with power and curse. The other, deprived of power, but spared from its consequences.
In the history of this world, it is customary to distinguish three main eras.
The Ancient world covers the period approximately from 5000 to 2000 years before the Era of Awakening. This is the time of the flourishing of ancient civilizations, whose heritage will later be almost completely lost.
The Dark Ages — a two-thousand-year period lying between the Ancient world and the Era of Awakening. An epoch of decline, fragmentation, and oblivion, when the knowledge of the past disappeared, and history turned into legends.
The Era of Awakening — our time. The period of the return of lost knowledge and attempts to comprehend the past, the consequences of which are felt to this day.
I have observed this world for millennia and gathered fragments of fates and stories that, connecting, form a single picture.
