"This bed is so big, so why do you keep inching over to my side?"
On the spacious bed, Clara could feel Firefly continuously shifting closer to her from behind. Unable to bear it any longer, she rolled over and used her foot to nudge Firefly's body a little farther away.
The bed was huge, easily big enough to sleep four people.
But Firefly kept quietly sidling closer… It was hard for Clara not to think that Firefly was planning to do something to her.
"Well… I… I'm cold."
Caught red-handed and called out by Clara, Firefly blushed for a moment, but quickly composed herself.
She put on a pitiful, delicate expression and looked at Clara, her body even giving a few involuntary shivers as if she truly felt a chill.
"You weren't cold walking around the snowfields in a skirt all afternoon, so how is it that now, inside the house, under the covers for just a few minutes, you suddenly feel cold?"
"What, does your body decide whether to feel cold or not on your command?"
Clara held back the impulse to utter three specific words at Firefly and let out a cold laugh.
The room had heating, so feeling cold was completely out of the question.
Not to mention they were lying under blankets she had warmed up for dozens of minutes.
"It's not on my command, I really am cold."
Hearing this, Firefly's face flushed again, but she stubbornly insisted.
Then, she slowly began moving closer to Clara again, her arms poised as if ready to pull Clara into a tight embrace and give her a good, thorough squeeze.
"Heh."
How could such movements escape Clara's notice? Watching Firefly's little act, Clara delivered another kick, sending Firefly's approaching form tumbling away once more.
"If you're cold, put on more clothes. What good does crowding me do?"
"You're down to just your underthings. If you're not cold like that, who would be?"
Clara scoffed. The room's temperature was such that even a normal person running around naked wouldn't feel cold.
Then, she helpfully 'offered' Firefly a suggestion:
"Or you could take everything off and let your body heat warm up the blankets properly. Then you naturally wouldn't be cold."
Looking at Firefly's exposed, fragrant shoulder, Clara's mind couldn't help but wander, fantasizing about Firefly lying completely naked beside her on the same bed…
Even though Clara knew Firefly was still wearing her undergarments, her mind kept drifting to the fantasy unbidden.
The underthings only covered the crucial areas, leaving most of her skin… bare to the open air…
Plus, the sensation when her foot had brushed against Firefly's skin earlier while shifting her position.
Smooth, soft. Though it was only for an instant, the feeling far surpassed even the jade she had snatched from the company…

It's all Firefly's fault. Why does she have to take off her clothes to sleep…
Clara complained inwardly. If she's already stripped down this much, she might as well go all the way…

"So me… me being like this… y… you don't mind, right…"
Looking at Clara, now barely a finger's width away, Firefly gathered her words and stammered them out.
"Oh… ohh, n-no, I don't mind…"
Coming back to her senses, Clara felt the warmth radiating from Firefly's body, inhaled the scent of her skin, and her heart…
Thump, thump, thump.
For some reason, it was pounding wildly fast…
"Then… then… let's sleep…"
Under the blanket, Firefly crossed and rubbed her legs together a few times.
"Mhm… mhm."
Clara lowered her head and gave a soft hum of agreement.
But the moment she looked down, she saw the expanse of snowy white skin on Firefly's body… A rush of blood surged upward, and she hurriedly lifted her gaze.
Yet, seeing the look of resolve on Firefly's face, that expression of 'I'm yours for the taking,' a strangely profane desire inexplicably sprouted in Clara's heart…
"Ugh…"
Clara forcibly suppressed the wicked thoughts, closed her eyes, and refused to look any longer at the infinitely alluring Firefly before her.
"Mhm… g… goodnight."
Seeing this perfect opportunity before her, Firefly gritted her teeth. Thinking she had already come this far, she might as well go all the way…
The wicked impulse in her heart completely overwhelmed her awareness. She reached out, pulled Clara directly into her arms, and let her own bare skin feel every contour of Clara's body.
"g… goodnight…"
Feeling the intimate contact of Firefly's exposed skin against her own, Clara's heart… and body… offered no corresponding struggle…
Whether it was because she was too flustered to notice… or for some other reason… was anyone's guess.
