"I see," he muttered as he flipped the page and slowly sat down on the floor.
The plaza was still in complete chaos. Screams echoed from every direction. Some people were arguing loudly, while others were on the verge of fighting. A few had already started throwing punches. He ignored all of it and focused on the book in his hands, continuing to read without paying attention to the noise around him.
He had learned to control his emotions well. After all, his childhood sucked, it was nothing but filled with hopless. Those experiences had forced him to suppress his feelings and keep his reactions in check.
There was also his past—something he did not feel proud of. Back in high school, when he had a girlfriend, he cheated on her with a married woman. When she found out, she broke up with him immediately. He did not feel much regret at the time. He had been young, stupid, and driven only by desire. Now, he only felt was sorry towards her.
The book explained that the ThataGabar World was divided into four main continents: the South Continent, North Continent, East Continent, and West Continent. These four continents surrounded an Unknown Continent at the center, a place no one truly understood. Each continent contained four to five major empires, sometimes even more.
The scale of the world shocked him. It was unbelievably vast. Each continent alone was said to be as large as the entire world he had lived in before.
'I don't even know where I am, 'he thought as he briefly glanced around.
Some people, like him, were sitting down and reading their books. Others were still panicking. There were roughly ten thousand people gathered in the plaza, and he suspected there might be even more elsewhere.
The book listed countless cities and empires. He tried to memorize only the most important ones, especially those with simple or memorable names.
In total, there were eighteen empires and more than ten thousand cities. These included six Human Empires, three Elf Empires, five Beast Empires, one Dwarf Empire, one Sea Empire, one Giant Empire, and one Devil Empire. According to the book, wars were constantly breaking out—Human against Human, Human against Beast, and Human against Devil.
Compared to his previous world, this one was completely messed up. Hybrid races did not exist here, or if they did, they were legendary existence or something that should be existed.
He lifted his head and looked around again. Many of the summoned people were clearly hybrids like him. Some had cat ears along with horns. Others were using the water in the fountain to check their reflections, touching their faces in shock.
He wanted to check his own appearance as well, but the area around the fountain was crowded. Pushing through so many people felt unnecessary, so he decided to wait until things calmed down.
For now, the book was far more important. If he was truly going to live in this world, this knowledge could save his life.
He returned his attention to the pages and reread the sections about empires and cities, carefully noting the important points. It took him around thirty minutes to go through everything again.
After that, he moved on to the section about races.
The book explained that there were four major races that dominated the world: Humans, Elves, Beast-Men, and Devils. Of course, there were countless other races, but these four made up the majority of the population.
He immediately searched for information about the Nouma race.
[
Nouma – An extinct race. Historical records differ greatly. Some sources claim they were as large as Giants, while others say they were as small as adult Dwarves. Some records describe them as identical to humans. All Nouma possessed a large tattoo on their backs, which served as the symbol and identity of their race.
]
He read the paragraph carefully, but instead of answers, it only raised more questions.
' There might be others with the same race as me, I can try to get information from them, I hope 'he thought with a big sigh.
From what he could tell by touch, his body looked human. He had already checked everything except his ears, which felt slightly pointed—only a little, like an elf's. He had no tail, no animal ears, no horns, and his height was around 180 centimeters. Aside from his ears, he seemed normal.
Still, he would need a mirror to be sure.
Most of the people around him clearly belonged to Beast-Men or Devil races. Very few looked fully human.
There were thousands of races listed in the book, far too many to read one by one, so he skipped ahead to the High Elf section—something he was already familiar with.
[
High Elf – Every High Elf possesses beautiful green hair and green eyes that symbolize the forest. They are born with powerful mana and can wield magic far superior to that of normal Elves. High Elves are among the top three strongest races in the world and are worshipped by Elves as their protectors.
]
' So I'm half High Elf, yet my mana is only twenty, 'he thought bitterly.
His strong racial traits had likely been weakened by his other bloodline. He needed to check his hair and eye color later.
With a quiet sigh, he flipped to the next section. Let's read about the natives of this world.
According to the book, natives could choose a class once they reached a certain age. Some were born with special classes, while others received them directly from a god or goddess. It also mentioned that the goddess who summoned them was likely an existence far above ordinary deities—one who did not need worship or devotion.
"Fuck… everything is messed up," he muttered.
If thousands of outsiders suddenly invaded a world, conflict was unavoidable. Some people would develop superiority complexes. Others would see the natives as NPCs rather than real people. Chaos was inevitable.
The book also explained that adventurers were rare. Strong adventurers were often recruited directly by empires or monster factions as knights or soldiers. On top of that, the appearances of the summoned players were different from the natives. Since hybrids barely existed in this world, most players would stand out immediately.
As he continued reading, a notification suddenly appeared in front of him.
