Chapter 70 - Chapter 70

Chapter 70 Crimson.

  Crimson City.

Macha City, also a city, seemed so rudimentary compared to Crimson City.

Crimson City also boasted the largest area among all the towns.

Bai Yu had been away from Crimson City for over a year, and this was the first time he had seen any other towns in the Kanto Region.

In the game, however, Bai Yu had traveled for a considerable time.

  "Silver Corporation."

Upon entering Crimson City, Bai Yu saw the Silver Corporation headquarters building standing in the very center of the city, flanked by the two gyms.

Bai Yu remembered that the Crimson Gym, now the Psychic Gym, used Fighting-type moves, essentially a Fighting Dojo.

Shortly after Bai Yu left Crimson City, the gym leader's name changed to Sabrina.

Sabrina easily defeated the Fighting Dojo leader with an Alakazam, the Alakazam taking no damage whatsoever, a complete stomp victory.

Bai Yu had just arrived in Crimson City and was about to head to the department store to see if he could find the TM he wanted when he encountered a familiar figure on the way.

  "Charizard, Megaton Punch!"

A massive Rhyhorn was sent flying by a single punch from Charizard.

Its body tumbled through the air, a sight that stunned the onlookers.

  "So strong!"

"He wins almost every match with a crushing defeat."

"Who is this guy? I haven't seen any of his matches on the League website."

"He looks young, probably a trainer who just started his journey."

The surrounding chatter was lively, with everyone pointing the finger at the boy in the hat.

The boy wore an aloofness beyond his years, and his tone was indifferent; he wasn't satisfied with his opponent.

Goldenrod City, the central hub of the Kanto Region.

The previous challenge had been quite interesting, at least allowing for a short exchange.

Returning to Goldenrod City, the trainers seeking a duel were all significantly weaker than him; the only one somewhat formidable was the Rhyhorn before him.

That Pokémon only withstood one attack.

  "Red...?"

The figure from the former resort island was somewhat blurry.

Bai Yu only saw a person on Charizard from afar.

The boy in front of him wore a hat and his face was somewhat similar to Ash's, but most importantly, his eyes held a thirst for battle.

He craved an opponent, an opponent who could make him fight with all his might.

"Red?!" Sabrina was slightly taken aback.

  She followed Bai Yu's gaze.

The familiar figure in her mind merged with the boy in front of her.

The boy who appeared most often in her premonitions, who could save the entire Kanto Region and ultimately destroy Team Rocket, was named Red.

  How did Bai Yu know?

Sabrina's eyes were filled with doubt... This should be the first time Bai Yu had seen him.

He could also foresee the future?

Team Rocket should be arriving soon.

Bai Yu glanced at the Silver Corporation headquarters. Red's appearance was accompanied by Team Rocket's arrival. He wondered... would Sabrina intervene this time?

Many thoughts raced through Bai Yu's mind. From the moment Qinglv appeared, Sabrina's identity was already confirmed, and Bai Yu had never seen Sabrina make a move.

This time, the target was the Master Ball.

As for Red… holding off Giovanni was the best option.

He wondered how strong Red was now.

  "Yes."

"Red… he's Ash's older brother. Ash mentioned him when we chatted last time."

"Aren't you going to go and say hello?" Sabrina asked. "I think Ash must have mentioned you to him. Was he the one who tried to catch Zapdos last time?"

The Charizard flying into the sky from the resort island.

All the trainers who went to the resort island saw it.

Sabrina was no exception, but it was too far away, and she only saw a figure.

  "Yeah."

  Bai Yu nodded.

He didn't want to get involved with him yet. Red was different from Qinglv and Xiaolan.

Red's mind was only on battle, and battles with those powerful opponents. The stronger the opponent, the more it would stimulate the power deep within him.

In a sense, Red was the only monster-level trainer in the Kanto Region.   No trainer who

appeared before, or after, could reach Red's achievement.   "You must be the trainer Ash mentioned,"   a boy's voice came from behind Bai Yu.   Bai Yu turned around and saw Red, who had just been in a match, now standing in front of him.

Red arrived in Saffron City hoping to find suitable opponents for sparring, and secondly, he was drawn to Marsh City by a video in the Pokédex.

  Unexpectedly, he encountered him there.

Marsh City Gym Leader, Bai Yu!

"And you are?" Bai Yu feigned ignorance.

"My name is Red, from Pallet Town," Red calmly introduced himself, his tone showing a hint of interest in Bai Yu.

There weren't many trainers his younger brother mentioned.

Bai Yu was the name Red had heard most often recently.

Even among the opponents he had just challenged, many mentioned the Marsh City Gym, saying that the Pokémon they used were incredibly diverse—some won with Geodude, while others were defeated with Steelix.

However, they all shared one thing in common with Bai Yu:

  Never approach his Pokémon.

"Bai Yu, nice to meet you," Bai Yu nodded.

  Ash's big mouth

always spilled the beans. Bai Yu, well-versed in the story, was used to it.

It was normal for Ash to tell his dearest brother these things, since he couldn't keep secrets.

"Bai Yu, let's have a match." Red's eyes burned with fervor.

His mind was consumed by the word "battle."

No matter who the trainer was, he wanted to spar with them.

The previous battles were merely warm-ups for Red.

Since Bai Yu was now in Saffron City, there was no need to travel to Marsh City to challenge him.

  Beneath Saffron City.

No one would have imagined that the prosperous city possessed such a vast network of tunnels.

Tunnels leading to various towns converged beneath Saffron City.

A group of trainers wearing "R" badges hid within these tunnels.

Their faces were grim, their eyes revealing intense desire.

The Silver Corporation headquarters! What a prestigious place.

Unfortunately, after tomorrow, it would be reduced to ruins.

The entire Saffron City would be plunged into panic.

  "Still haven't you contacted Sabrina?"

Apollo frowned, the Gym Leader not even in Saffron City.

Apollo had sent multiple messages to Sabrina, instructing her to prepare for the attack on the Silver Corporation headquarters. Nearly a day had passed, but Apollo hadn't received a reply.

  "Wait a little longer, Apollo!"

"So impatient, no wonder you were routed by the Elite Four."

Not far away, a man with a black hat, dark green hair, and a mocking look in his eyes stood.

He was Lance, one of Team Rocket's four generals.

To ensure the success of this operation, Team Rocket had dispatched several executives.

Aside from Sabrina, who hadn't been contacted,

the other executives who could reach Kanto were concentrated in the tunnels beneath Goldenrod City.

"Oh? Then I'd like to see... Lance's level!"

Apollo's face held a hint of contempt.

Lance could only show off here; he'd failed countless times before.

If the other executives weren't concentrated in the Johto region, he wouldn't want to cooperate with Lance.

"At least I won't be routed by the Elite Four's Champions," Lance chuckled.

  "Stop arguing. Boss is coming."

A petite figure spoke, her voice tinged with admiration.

This was none other than the Chakra of the Three Beast Warriors.

He hadn't left Kanto since the Macha City bombing operation, all to ensure the success of this operation.

This operation was personally commanded by Sakaki, and it was a crucial moment for him to demonstrate his loyalty.

He didn't want these two idiots to delay the important matter.
