Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 I'm a Good Person!

After standing on the beach for a long time, just as Yoriichi had composed himself and was about to leave, a flash of white suddenly appeared on the distant sea.

A moment later, a mast appeared on the water, and soon after, a flag embroidered with a seagull appeared before Yoriichi's eyes.

A massive, deep blue dog-headed warship sped towards the island where Yoriichi was.

  "The Marines."

  "And that prow is... Garp's?!"

Like the perpetually late champion of justice in all movies, the Navy's warship finally appeared after this series of tragedies.

After a long while, the warship approached.

Yoriichi, who had just been about to leave, stopped and gazed at the warship.

On the sea, Garp's warship rapidly approached Dragon's Roar Island. Even when it was still hundreds of meters away, Garp noticed the red-haired boy standing on the sea cliff. His Observation Haki spread out, surging towards Yoriichi's location.

"I won't allow such a bastard to disrupt the peace of the East Blue!"

As Garp spoke, he loosened his tie, then grabbed his shoulder, ripped off his white Justice Cloak, bent his knees slightly, and leaped into the air. Despite being hundreds of meters from the island, he jumped directly towards Dragon's Roar Island.

"Vice Admiral Garp!" Garp ignored his adjutant's calls. In the blink of an eye, Garp had become a tiny black dot in the adjutant's eyes, rapidly heading towards the sea cliff.

  "Something's coming?!"

Yoriichi sensed something, slightly raising his head to look at the sky.

In the air, a small black dot hurtled towards the sea cliff where Yoriichi Tsugikuni was. In the blink of an eye, Yoriichi recognized the newcomer. Although his memory was somewhat hazy, he immediately recognized the person upon seeing His face.

  "It's Garp!"

  "A middle-aged man?!"

Garp's full head of black hair surprised Yoriichi, but the next second, Garp in the air adopted a stance of gathering power, and dense, terrifying black lightning crackled in mid-air.

Yoriichi, who had been surprised just a moment ago, hardened upon seeing Garp's stance. He instantly threw away his scabbard, drew his long sword, and explained, "I'm a civilian, not a pirate," while quickly assuming a counterattack stance.

Although Yoriichi's voice wasn't loud, Garp in mid-air clearly heard him, but a wide smile appeared on his "rough" face.

In the blink of an eye, Garp was upon Yoriichi Tsugikuni, his fist, imbued with unparalleled Haki, hurtling towards him.

Yoriichi reacted swiftly, his longsword wreathed in flames as he thrust forward.

Sun Breathing – Seventh Form – Beneficent Radiance!

Garp's fist, enveloped in black lightning, neither dodged nor evaded, striking directly at the tip of the sword. Instantly, immense power surged through Yoriichi.

The next second, Yoriichi felt his strength waning, his sword tip veering, leaving him wide open.

His power was no match for Garp's.

Garp breached Yoriichi's defense, his fist, the size of a sandbag, slamming into Yoriichi's chest. Yoriichi felt his breath catch in his throat, his vision blurred, and he instantly lost consciousness.

  "Thump!!"

Yoriichi was slammed to the ground by Garp's punch, instantly losing consciousness. Garp looked at the fallen Yoriichi and strode closer.

"Is that kid wearing animal skin? And he's barefoot."

"That level of Conqueror's Haki just now, he must have just awakened it not long ago. It's scattered and not concentrated, he's a newbie."     "Not bad swordsmanship. He shouldn't be a local from Dragon's Roar Island."

  "A commoner, huh? Hahaha!"

"Drawing the sword so swiftly, he can hardly be called a commoner!"

Garp sized up Yoriichi's clothes, suddenly remembering Yoriichi's earlier words, and couldn't help but laugh. Although he felt that Yoriichi was the one responsible for the current tragic scene, Garp didn't immediately kill him after hearing Yoriichi's words.

Garp held back a lot of strength at the last moment, only knocking Yoriichi unconscious.

He walked to Yoriichi's side, grabbed the animal skin on Yoriichi's body with one hand, "pulled" Yoriichi off the ground, casually carried him on his shoulder, picked up Yoriichi's sword, and walked towards the ruined town in the distance.

With Yoriichi on his shoulder, Garp slowly walked through the town. After a brief search, Garp found the battlefield from before.

The tragic battlefield made Garp's expression grim.

After carefully examining the fatal wounds of the marines, Garp's expression softened slightly. He glanced at Yoriichi Tsugikuni on his shoulder and led him towards the cliff they had come from.

While Garp was inspecting the battlefield, his warship officially arrived at Ryugin Island. The marines on board were gathering on the cliff. The adjutant, who was assembling the formation, was startled to see Garp carrying a "wild man in animal skins" and quickly ran towards him.

  "Vice Admiral Garp!"

"Who...who is this? What happened to him?"

Hearing his adjutant Bogard's question, Garp casually tossed Yoriichi Tsugikuni to Bogard, along with his sword. Bogard, confused, instinctively caught Yoriichi and the sword. He looked at Garp with a puzzled expression, waiting for further explanation.

"Bring this kid and his sword onto the ship."

"The battlefield is over there. The E-23 unit that launched the attack should be completely wiped out. Collect the bodies of our comrades and send them home for burial."

"Have someone thoroughly search the town, and at the same time, search the entire island for any survivors."

"Report any findings to me immediately."

Upon hearing Garp's orders, Bogard immediately stood up straight, responded, and then looked down at the red-haired boy he was holding, unable to resist asking curiously,

"Vice Admiral Garp, who is this boy?"

"The source of that Conqueror's Haki just now was…"

Facing Bogard's question, Garp didn't intend to hide anything. Picking his nose with his little finger, he casually replied, "Oh, him? Let's just say he's a survivor."

"You guessed right, that Conqueror's Haki just now was probably from this kid."

"He probably awakened it by chance."

  "Alright, get to work."

"There are pirates who dare to stir up trouble in the East Blue! I've run into them this time, and I absolutely won't let them get away with this!"

Garp said, clenching his fist and making a cracking sound. The Marines, having received their orders, began to execute Garp's commands in an orderly fashion.

It must be said, although Garp is Luffy's grandfather, his men are reliable. Soon, these Marines dispersed to the islands, beginning to investigate the entire island. In

the year 1497 of the Sea Calendar ,

an unprecedented heinous event occurred in the East Blue. Hundreds of officers and soldiers of the Marine E-23 unit were wiped out while fighting a pirate crew on Dragon's Roar Island. At the same time, thousands of islanders perished, and all the women and children on the island were kidnapped.

Vice Admiral Garp, who had just returned from visiting his family, "accidentally" encountered that pirate crew on his way back to Marineford, and then launched a powerful attack.

In that battle, towering flames appeared out of nowhere at sea, illuminating half the sky.

Afterwards, all the women and children from Dragon's Roar Island who had been kidnapped were rescued.

Having done all this, Vice Admiral Garp's warship returned to Marineford, but compared to when it set sail, Garp's crew returning to Marine Headquarters now included a red-haired boy.
