Chapter 4 - Ep 4

Lin Yue screamed at the top of his lungs,

"YOU PERVERTED MAN! Why are you staring at me like that?! I need CLOTHES to wear! Give me something to cover myself!"

Feng Lihan blinked once, completely unfazed.

"Wait here."

Before Lin Yue could throw another insult, Feng Lihan leapt out of the cave—literally flew out—his red wings bursting open mid-air.

Lin Yue yelled after him,

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING?! I didn't mean go shopping in the forest—!!"

But it was already too late.

Two minutes later—

A loud WHOOSH shook the cave.

Feng Lihan returned… dragging an entire wild boar behind him. He had hunted it.

Lin Yue's soul nearly escaped his body.

"YOU—YOU JUST—KILLED A PIG?! What are you doing, starting a clothing brand?! 'BOAR SKIN COUTURE'?!"

Feng Lihan ignored the dramatic human completely as he washed the hide under a waterfall, trimmed it, dried it with his strange magical heat, stitched it together with plant fibers, and finally held it out.

"You can wear this. I made it for you."

Lin Yue stared at the boar-skin outfit like it had personally insulted his whole family.

"This… THIS is what you expect me to wear?! Are you serious?! This is caveman fashion! Do you think I'm starring in Survival: Forest Edition?! I'm human, not a wild man!"

Feng Lihan looked at him, utterly confused.

He didn't understand a single part of Lin Yue's complaint—just stared at him blankly.

Lin Yue looked around desperately—left, right, behind him.

No people.

No houses.

No signs of civilization.

Just forest.

Air.

Wind.

Silence.

Lin Yue whispered, horrified,

"…There are no humans here, are there?"

Feng Lihan studied him with that intense, unreadable gaze.

Then, completely serious, he asked:

"What beast are you?"

Lin Yue blinked.

"I'm sorry—WHAT?"

Feng Lihan crossed his arms.

"You look fragile. Soft. Small. Are you a rabbit?"

Lin Yue choked.

"A—A RABBIT?! Do I look like I hop around eating radishes?! I'm not soft—I'm TRAUMATIZED!"

He jabbed a finger at his own chest.

"I am HUMAN!"

Feng Lihan stared at him like he had just spoken an alien language.

"…Human?" he repeated slowly.

"What clan is that? Rabbit, wolf, lion, snake, hawk… I've never heard of a 'human' clan."

Lin Yue's stomach dropped.

"…Clan?"

"You mean everyone here is some kind of animal?"

Feng Lihan nodded once.

"Every being has a beast form. Every tribe is born with one. So… which clan are you?"

He stepped closer, eyes darkening with something strange—curiosity, danger, and a hint of recognition.

"…you," he murmured.

Lin Yue swallowed hard.

"So I really am the only one…? Did I actually travel to a beast world? Oh my god, my life is ruined."

He clenched his fists.

I can't tell him I'm human. Not yet. I don't know anything about this place.

Feng Lihan watched him carefully, waiting for an answer.

Lin Yue forced a shaky smile.

"Well… I'm a rabbit," he lied.

Feng Lihan's eyes narrowed slightly.

Lin Yue continued nervously,

"My clan threw me away because I—I couldn't find food. I have no one. I'm all alone."

He made his voice break as he continued,

"Some animals chased me… so I ran… and while running, I ended up here…"

His eyes filled with fake tears.

Feng Lihan stared at him in a long, unreadable silence.
