Night fell over High Tide.
Aegon leaned against the bed, watching Aemond quietly leave the castle.
Although Aemond had tamed Vhagar in the original story, Aegon was still a little worried.
This was his brother; if Vhagar breathed dragonfire on him, Vhagar wouldn't give him extra money.
"Don't worry, he'll be fine. We can go down and meet him later."
Helena had come to Aegon's side without him noticing.
"Okay, I'll go down later. Where's Daeron?" Aegon asked.
"Daeron is already asleep. Little children always love to sleep after they've eaten their fill," Helena said, her eyes slightly unfocused.
Helena had gradually adapted to dragon dreams over the years.
She had seen many things in her dragon dreams, but she had never seen any fragments of a dream where she married Aegon.
Yet, she clearly remembered seeing herself marrying Aegon when she was a child, and she even saw the House Targaryen losing its Dragons.
She didn't know when the future had changed, becoming blurry, and she could only see some insignificant scenes.
Thinking of something, Helena suddenly asked:
"House Tyrell doesn't have any suitable girls. Mother said you can decide your own marriage. Is there a girl you like?"
Stared at by Helena's clear eyes, Aegon thought seriously.
"Not yet. Let's see in a couple of years. If there's still no one by then, I'll follow Mother's arrangements."
Helena didn't speak, her eyes lowered, lost in thought.
The two remained silent until a terrifying roar echoed, drawing their gaze.
To their surprised eyes, Vhagar soared into the sky, climbing vertically at almost a ninety-degree angle.
Driftmark coast.
Rhaenyra and Daemon, who had just finished their passionate encounter, both noticed Vhagar's abnormality.
"Something's happened!"
Rhaenyra, her face still flushed, suddenly had a very bad feeling.
Daemon's face was also grim. Vhagar's reaction was very much like she was testing her rider.
Who could it be?
Could it be Rhaenys?
That was clearly unlikely, and even less likely to be Viserys.
A figure suddenly appeared in Daemon's mind.
Daemon's heart sank. If it was truly that kid, Rhaenyra would be in trouble.
Meanwhile, Aemond was gripping the reins tightly.
He hadn't even buckled up before Vhagar flew up vertically.
Pulling the reins, Aemond finally managed to sit steady in the dragon saddle, and Vhagar dove down again.
The fierce wind cut at Aemond's cheeks like blades, but the wild joy in his heart had already overcome the physical pain!
"Vhagar, obey!"
As Aemond roared, a subtle telepathic connection was established between the man and the Dragon.
At this point, Vhagar finally acknowledged the young boy on her back.
Aemond awkwardly controlled Vhagar, landing like a thunderbolt in front of High Tide, directly crushing an entire row of stables.
He excitedly climbed down from the dragon saddle, eager to tell Aegon that he hadn't failed him and had successfully tamed a super-large Dragon!
However, upon entering the corridor, Joffrey, whom he had slapped hard on the nose and then kicked into cow dung, had already brought a group of people to surround him.
"You stole my Dragon!"
As soon as they met, Rhaenys, who didn't have a Dragon yet, loudly questioned Aemond.
Anyone who didn't know would truly think Aemond had stolen her Dragon.
In fact, when a Dragon loses its rider, it becomes ownerless. Whoever tames it, it belongs to them.
"Is that so?" Aemond sneered dismissively, "When did Vhagar become yours?"
"Who told you Vhagar is yours? These bastards? Heh, they're just a bunch of mongrels!"
