Mary didn't want to promise too much. If the wedding was imminent and the carpenter was too busy, it would put everyone in an awkward position.
"It's not urgent," Cecily replied quickly. "The wedding will probably be next year. Just help us ask. As for the price, you can discuss it with him and tell us afterward. I'll talk it over with your uncle."
As soon as she said it, she realized she might be asking too much.
She sighed inwardly. This child had only mentioned that she designed the furniture, yet in her excitement, she had immediately asked for help. Hopefully, she wasn't putting Mary in a difficult position.
Mary felt relieved when she heard that there was no rush. With that much time, the carpenter should be able to make the furniture without any problem.
She took a sip of tea and said calmly, "It shouldn't be an issue. As for the price, it will probably be a bit higher than the old-fashioned furniture."
