Simply put, Mary had moved to a new house and no longer wanted anything left here.
Thea looked around the room again. When Mary had first moved in, this was all she owned. Now she was leaving everything behind so cleanly. It felt almost extravagant.
Could it be that her new place was furnished entirely with brand-new things?
Mary nodded calmly. "En. Some of these items I'm giving to Sister Kristen. If you want the rest, just find someone to move them out. I'll leave the keys to this place with you."
The new house had been completely refurnished. Everything was new, and besides, she and Ryan mostly stayed in the space anyway. There was no reason to haul this old furniture over.
Thea, on the other hand, had probably left her marriage with almost nothing. These things would at least help her get through the hardest period.
Thea fell silent for a moment before asking quietly, "Are you really going to divorce him just like that?"
