Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The First Connection Between the Brothers

The small hut was shrouded in the mist of the first morning, the air still thick with dust and the faint roar of the earth after the recent Shift. Saqr sat on the ground, holding the two infants, Sultan and Khalid, in his arms. They trembled between inexplicable warmth and cold, between light and shadow, between fire and water, as if the whole world silently watched them.

Sultan, marked by the four elements, felt the warmth and cold intertwining within him, his small body experiencing a strange balance between nature's forces. Khalid, the infant born from the shadow, felt the darkness curl gently around him, as if trying to speak without words. A dormant power stirred inside him for the first time, seeking connection, understanding, a presence that felt like safety.

The infants could not speak; they did not yet understand what was happening, but they felt each other. A light touch from Sultan calmed Khalid's shadow, and the warmth of Khalid reached Sultan in a strange way, as if the universe itself was beginning to weave together light and shadow, warmth and cold, fire and water, air and earth.

Sheikh Abdulrahman sat beside them, his voice low but filled with awe and wisdom:

"Here they are together… light and shadow, a dual force… each carries its own path, yet they are bound from the beginning. This bond will be the foundation of their power, opening doors of destiny in time."

Saqr whispered to himself, more than to the infants:

"O Allah, keep their hearts steady… make them light in the darkness… make me worthy to protect them."

The hut trembled slightly as a gentle breeze slipped through cracks in the walls, and a subtle movement of the earth made the infants shiver. These were the first touches of nature, reflecting the Shift around them, as if the forces themselves were observing how the children interacted.

Sultan felt something new seeping into him, warmth intertwined with cold, gentleness harmonizing with strength, while Khalid felt warmth for the first time since his birth, his shadow clinging to the small light emanating from Sultan. This was the first seed of communication between the brothers, a mysterious, instinctive bond, yet strong enough to begin their shared journey.

Sheikh Abdulrahman turned his gaze toward the sky, then back to the infants, speaking with awe:

"O Allah, make them an unbreakable force… unite shadow and light… and make them a safeguard for this world."

Outside, the world seemed calm, yet the wind whispered names unheard by any, and the hut seemed shielded by something greater than humans, something that would protect the children until they discovered their destiny themselves.

Saqr, holding the two infants tightly, felt a strange presence around him—warmth and cold, light and shadow, all intertwined. This moment, without words, without full understanding, marked the beginning of the brothers' journey toward prophecy, toward power, and toward a destiny not yet born.

The hut, the earth, and the sky all bore witness to the birth of a strong bond: light and shadow, warmth and cold, all intertwined… the beginning of the Shift, the beginning of Sultan the Marked, and the beginning of Khalid, the one from the shadow.
