Keifer POV
I woke up early.
Too early.
The house was quiet, morning light slipping through the curtains. Jay-Jay and Ci-N were still asleep, frozen in the same dramatic positions as before.
My eyes drifted back to the family picture on the wall.
I stood up and walked closer.
Sienna's father.
I stared.
Why does he look familiar?
Not "I've-seen-him-on-TV" familiar.
More like I've-met-you-before familiar.
Before I could think deeper, movement caught my eye.
Jay-Jay stirred.
Then Ci-N.
Then Sienna came down the stairs, hair slightly messy, looking more human and less mysterious.
"We should get ready," she said. "We'll be late."
She led us to the guest rooms and handed out clothes.
Jay-Jay stared at the outfit. "Borrowed clothes before breakfast… wow. My life is evolving."
"Don't ruin them," Sienna replied calmly.
Ci-N saluted. "Yes, rich lady."
We changed quickly, gathered our things, and left the house together.
As we drove off, I took one last glance back.
That picture stayed in my mind.
