Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: The Unwelcome S-Rank talent user

"Summer break is finally here!"

"Summer break is finally here!"

"Why are you copying me?"

"Why are you copying me?"

"..."

"..."

"I want to be Chen Luo's dog!"

"..."

"Hahaha, chickened out, didn't you?" Chen Luo pointed at the Herrscher of Sentience, who had been mimicking him until now but was left red-faced and speechless.

"A'Luo, do you want a beating?" The Herrscher of Sentience clenched her small fist.

Small as it was, that fist could punch straight through steel plates.

"Sorry, I was wrong." Chen Luo immediately surrendered.

Sure, she had started copying him first, but refusing to apologize now would only earn him a beating.

The Herrscher of Sentience was right about one thing: if you're going to bully your little brother, do it early.

Once Chen Luo grew stronger, he'd act just as brazenly—maybe even sit on her and make her sing Conquest.

With that thought, Chen Luo glanced at his talent panel.

1,830 Primogems

Two days ago, after completing Mobius' commission, he had 1,465 Primogems. The additional 365 Primogems came from Wednesday and Thursday's earnings.

Without new guests or fresh opportunities to exploit, his daily Primogem income capped at around 200.

What disappointed Chen Luo most was that Venti still refused to drink the "Anemo Archon-brewed" wine.

What, was Venti afraid Chen Luo would use him as a brewing ingredient?

"Alright, I'm off to school. Today's Friday—the last day before summer break. Once vacation starts, if nothing unexpected happens, we'll tackle that [Save Private Kiana] mission tomorrow." Chen Luo turned to the Herrscher of Sentience.

Summer break meant 45 days of wreaking havoc in other worlds.

Chen Luo knew this summer would be very exciting.

The best part? No matter how much trouble he stirred up abroad, no one could chase him back to his homeworld.

Plus, he'd noticed interdimensional commissions paid way better.

Inevitably, high-reward missions meant making enemies—but if they were from other worlds, who cared?

Chen Luo grew increasingly convinced: his talent was downright broken.

"Got it. Thanks to the Heart Demon Essence, my recovery's sped up. By tonight, I should be fully restored—maybe even stronger." The Herrscher of Sentience nodded.

High risk, higher rewards—that was interdimensional travel.

The spatial turbulence alone had subtly enhanced her physique. Now, after absorbing the Heart Demon Essence, her potential ceiling rose even higher.

Too bad such power-boosting items were probably rare.

"Then I'm off to school. Keep harvesting those negative emotions." Chen Luo waved and left.

Riding his ludicrously expensive bicycle (worth more than his entire living expenses), Chen Luo arrived at the school gates—only to freeze.

Liu Wenxuan was here.

Even rarer, Yun Xia stood beside him.

Opposite them, a blonde woman faced off against the duo, her oppressive aura forcing bypassing students to detour. Teachers hesitated to intervene.

Chen Luo's instincts screamed "Stay out of this," but turning back now would draw more attention.

His arrival shattered the stalemate, making him the trio's new focus.

"So you're Chen Luo? A mere wind-affinity talent user, yet you've charmed three S-ranks? If not for the wind energy radiating from you, I'd suspect a succubus talent." The blonde woman smirked, oozing condescension.

"Yvette, if you dare lay a finger on him, I'll raze the Vatican and tear you to shreds!" Liu Wenxuan snarled.

"My pride wouldn't allow targeting a low-rank talent. You two are my prey." Yvette—apparently her name—coolly retorted.

"We've told you—S-ranks, especially from rival nations, can't clash lightly. The repercussions would be catastrophic." Liu Wenxuan eyed the battle-crazed lunatic.

"Patience is a virtue. I can always file a formal challenge through official channels." The beautiful blonde smiled.

"Since when do you wait for paperwork? That's unlike you." Yun Xia raised an eyebrow.

"Don't stereotype me. I understand the bigger picture." Yvette shrugged, turning to leave—

But not before piercing Chen Luo with one last glance.

That single look sent chills down his spine.
